WEBSTORE UPDATE! New D-CLONE, NO MORE ART, WHITE WIRES, TOTAL CONTROL, and MORE!

I think this might be a first ... three weekly webstore updates in a row! Last week, not gonna lie, I felt kinda bad bugging you two weeks in a row.  Then I realized that's sort of ridiculous because it would be doing a greater disservice to NOT let you know about all of these sweet new records I have available!!! So anyways, hopefully you are as stoked as I am for another webstore update and hopefully you will find a few things worth checking out.

Before I get to the new distro titles, a quick label update - I'll have a more in depth / proper email next week, but BIG EYES have announced the dates for their upcoming full US tour with CA's AUDACITY (Recess Records / Burger Records).  The tour starts November 1st in Portland, and you can check out the full list of dates at http://bigeyesband.blogspot.com/ ... both bands will have a new split 7" available for this tour, and BIG EYES will also have copies of their newly repressed Demo 7", which is a co-release between Grave Mistake and Evil Weevil Records. More on that later ...

Now, on to this week's webstore update!

NEW IN THE WEBSTORE FOR 10.12.12:

D-CLONE "CREATION AND DESTROY" LP (540)
The future of noisecore is here. After two EP’s and several splits, D-CLONE have delivered their debut LP with the absolutely devastating CREATION AND DESTROY. From the first drum hit to the final scream, this record is above anything else in its genre. 11-tracks of absolutely over-the-top noise not music. Building on the strengths of their previous releases, D-CLONE crank up the intensity and give you one of the most blown out, fierce and groundbreaking releases to come out of Japan in the last decade. The production is above and beyond any of their peers and only adds to the ear piercing chaos that blasts its way from start to finish. A ton of new material as well as some re-recorded classics. This LP shows D-Clone at the top of their game and solidifies their spot as one of the most dedicated and passionate noisecore bands ever. Welcome to the new age of noise. WE MAKE NEXT GENERATION!!!  Comes packaged in a beautiful "tip on" cover as well as coming with a lyric sheet and a 24x36 poster!

CLEAR "S/T" 7" (TRIPLE B)
Hailing from all over the East Coast, Clear features members of Have Heart, The First Step, The Rival Mob, Free Spirit, Waste Management and more. This demo 7" features the bands first six songs of Minor Threat-influenced hardcore. For fans of Minor Threat, Youth Of Today, Warzone, Have Heart and The First Step.

TOTAL CONTROL "SCENE FROM A MARRIAGE" 7" (SUB POP)
Australia's Total Control grace us with two stellar new tracks of moody garage/post-punk. The band is led by Daniel Stewart (Straightjacket Nation, UV Race) and Mikey Young (Eddy Current Suppression Ring, Ooga Boogas), and this single comes on the heels of their excellent, massively-hyped Henge Beat LP and split-LP with Thee Oh-Sees. Both songs are exclusive to this release. “Scene From a Marriage” b/w “Contract”

DESPERAT "BORJAN PA SLUTET" 7" (HARDCORE VICTIM)
Outstanding Swedish hardcore on Hardcore Victim. This band’s demo and first two 7”s caused quite a stir. The third 7” just keeps the hard hitting Swedish hc coming. This is ¾ of Mob 47 with Jocke from Warvictims on vocals. We also have all the last releases on HCV such as Last Chaos, Leprosy, Teargas, Kromosom and the related Vaginors LP.

NO MORE ART "TOUGH TO BREATHE" 7" (DERANGED)
No More Art is comprised of people from rather dissimilar backgrounds in music, but the elements are easy enough to lay out. There are the surf-drenched guitars, the complementary female vocals, and the rock ‘n’ roll frenzy of X (Los Angeles), some of what has been brewing in Denmark and Sweden over the last decades with bands like MASSHYSTERI / VICIOUS, and NO HOPE FOR THE KIDS, but also with lots of melody and leads that is reminiscent of 80's LA bands like SOCIAL DISTORTION and ADOLESCENTS, all infused with a unique quality of their own. Lead singer Milo has been around for some years now as a singer song writer in her own solo project ROSIE TIE. Drummer Juan Miguel has been busy on the heavier side of music, playing guitar in bands like LOS DOLARES, LEADERSHIT, ETACARINAE, and PELIGRO!, in Barcelona over the past decade. Will has also done time in many bands over the past decade with groups BORN/DEAD, DESOLATION, SUICIDE BOMB, DOPECHARGE, and most recently Portland's RED DONS

CRIMINAL CODE "HOLLOWED" 7" (DERANGED)
Follow up to their excellent 12”.  Full length in the works for 2013.  Three new moody hardcore tracks. It used to be easy to describe Criminal Code. From the onset, they came across as straightforward sounding mid 80s Midwest hardcore styled three piece with Taiga on guitar Andrew handling the basslines. Hook filled and moodily earnest, proudly wielding a love for Husker Du. Crim Code quickly became favorites of the Northwest hardcore scene. After a handful of west coast tours and a couple of limited self released rarities, Crim Code added Miles on second guitar and Jawsh on drums.... This is where the comparisons to other acts ends. Having saw them play three times in the past 10 days I can only describe them as themselves. Once in front of a group of black clad doom punks they came off as a tightly wound psychedelic nightmare, as if My Bloody Valentine grew up playing Middle Class covers. The next, in a room filled with knucke dragging skinheads the doomiest pop you could imagine at a deafening level. The third still a pounding set of shouted agit-punk anthems that could have been the best record SST never released. With this, their third vinyl release, and the first for Deranged they continue to push the boundaries of what it means to be a a modern hardcore punk band.  Oh yeah, and they aren't from Olympia.

PREGNANCY SCARES "FACELIFT" 7" (DERANGED)
Pissed off punk from Ottawa, Ontario. Building from the chaos of their 2011 demo tape, Pregnancy Scares’ debut 7” represents a band that have spent the past year honing their craft without sacrificing the relentless rhythms, vocal venom, or “Born Against aggro-in-the-raw, art-wracked Circus Lupus styling”, that’s become synonymous with Pregnancy Scares since their inception.

TOTAL TRASH "S/T" 7" (DERANGED)
Young blood from Toronto doing straight forward hardcore.  No frills or gimmicks, just well executed angst driven hardcore punk.

BRAIN TUMORS" FUCK YOU FOREVER" 7" (DERANGED)
Midwest hardcore punk venom.  Another retarded stomper for your top shelf collection.

RATFACE "DEAD RATS BLOOD" 7" (SIT AND SPIN)
The second vinyl offering from Pittsburgh’s powerhouse boasting former members of FLAK and ANNIHILATION TIME. RATFACE damage your ear drums with two tracks of raw 80’s influenced hardcore punk in the vein of bands like CHAOS UK and DISCHARGE, but with an American hardcore sound mixed in along the lines of POISON IDEA.Track one “Bleak Futures”is a more straight forward hard hitting D-Beat jam with a crucial breakdown with some classic shouting gang vocals. On the other side is “Chaos Never Die” this killer punk rock blast never lets down the pace, and will have you playing it and singing along again and again.

WHITE WIRES "CRAZY" 7" (TOTAL PUNK)
Total Punk takes it's first trip across the border with Ontario's White Wires. Fresh off the heels of their new LP on Dirtnap, White Wires give us two more tracks of hook filled summertime punk. "Crazy" is the perfect two minute pop songs and my favorite tracks from the band so far. On the flip we got a punked out version of The Poppees "I Need Your Love." All copies come in hand stamped paper sleeves and are TOTAL PUNK.

SURGEONS "WHIP THEM LORD" 7" (TOTAL PUNK)
The first single from L.A.’s Surgeons comes out tomorrow on Total Punk. A nice follow up to the GG King, and Gary Wrong 7”, Total Punk delves deeper into the sludge filled abyss of black punk.. Two short blast of sinister razor sharp punk covered in a eerie haze of ambient noise and low end thud.

GOLDEN PELICANS "HARD HEAD" 7" (TOTAL PUNK)
From the ashes of the Slippery Slopes comes the Golden Pelicans. While the Slippery Slopes wanted to play your party, The Golden Pelicans are more interested in ruining it. Ugly, middle aged, and overwhelmingly disliked as people The Golden Pelicans are here to ruin your good times. Generally regarded as crotchety old men by the local young punks, disgusting buffoons by the "weird beer" sect, and intellectually stunted by the community at large, the Pelicans are giving you the chance to join this highly esteemed club. Two tough edged punk rippers with Link Wray riffs abound and a punk growler King G front and center screaming about death trips, Florida life, and thick skulls. "Orlando trash garage rockers Golden Pelicans are the latest band to get the hand-stamped, paper-sleeved, DIY as fuck treatment from Total Punk Records, the Florida’s Dying offshoot that has released nothing but bangers for almost a solid year now.”Hard Head” is a gruff, raunchy, obnoxious bit of rock n’ roll that will have you pogoing in your cubicle. Dig that winking rip-off of “Summertime Blues” at the end, as well. Totally apt for the middle of July, dudes."- Get Bent

LIVE FAST DIE "PRACTICING FOR THE GANG BANG" 7" (TOTAL PUNK)
The 00's kings of punk are back with a brand new single, and I couldn’t be any happier about it. When I started the label in 2010 releasing a Live Fast Die 7” was at the top of the Total Punk bucket list. Seems the years of death threats, prank calls, hate mail, and general harassment were worth it cause I finally convinced Camaro Werewolf to get the band back together and write one last single. Two more tracks of the sing-a-long no-fi garbage can Jabbers punk you have come to love Live Fast Die for.

BAD RELIGION "PUBLIC SERVICE" 7" (PUKE N VOMIT)
Originally appearing on the "Public Service" comp from 1981, these three songs were a lot of punks' introduction to Bad Religion.

CRUDE "JUST GO GO AHEAD" 7" (HG FACT)
Two song 7" from this great Hakodate Japanese hardcore punk group. Fretboard gymnastics in the vein of DEATH SIDE and their related bands- MUSTANG, ETAE, BALANCE, etc. Nice, multi-color, fold over sleeve with lyrics and English translation. How the time flies, this band has been releasing music for over 12 years.

SAM COFFEY AND THE IRON LUNGS "S/T" 7" (HOSEHEAD)
"Unlike most situations when music presents us with an incongruity, it can actually produce enjoyment instead of discomfort. Sam Coffey and the Iron Lungs' All To Myself combines a fuzzed-out sonic backdrop but lays jangle and bubblegum on top of it in a near perfect display of consonance and dissonance.  Sam Coffey and the Iron lungs' biggest strength isn’t their guitar riffs or lyrical abilities but their hooks. Sure, “All To Myself” spreads out a warm summery vibe with its guitar progression and tone but the “Ooooooo I love you baby / want you all to myself” hook of the chorus is what really gets to me."

VARUKERS, THE "ANOTHER RELIGION ANOTHER WAR" LP (HAVOC)
"Another one of my favorite records of the 80's re issued on my own label. As a die-hard fan and collector, it is such a thrill to be able to re press release like this and see my label logo at the bottom. I bought this record when it came out in 1984 (I was 15) and I have been crazy about it ever since. Varukers and Discharge were the two most raging and intense of the UK bands to ratchet punk up to hardcore speed and power in the early 80's. This LP sees Varukers delivering top notch hardcore punk, the guitar tone and riffage are savage, the vocals raw and powerful. The guitar has a bit of the metallic crunch that would permeate hardcore in the future, but still remains grounded in punk. Several members of this line up Varukers went on to form Sacrilege taking the heavy riffs in a more metal direction. This Lp ranks with Discharge "Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing" as an example of 1980’s UK hardcore punk at it's very best. When Thatcher and Brezhnev had their fingers on the button to destroy mankind, you needed this kind of hardcore to stay sane."

SNAKE RUN "S/T" LP (BEDSIDE)
"Debut 12" from this hardcore band featuring members of Shook Ones, Vacant State and Condominium. As you might expect, this is some rough and nasty hardcore. The label calls it Rollins-era 'Flag worship, but it's a lot more punk than that description would lead you to believe. Basically, this is rough and mean hardcore with some inventive bass playing and some unexpected riffing. Of the "members of" bands it certainly reminds me the most of Vacant State, but without the ultra-stripped-down sound that is (was?) that band's trademark. At the end of the day, though, this is mean as hell and super catchy, which is exactly what I want from my hardcore. Limited to only 250 copies, so don't expect this to stick around forever." - sorrystaterecords.com

CHAOS UK "SHORT SHARP SHOCK" LP (RADIATION)
Short Sharp Shock album by Chaos UK was released Mar 20, 2012 on the Radiation Reissues label. Originally released on the small "Children Of The Revolution" label back in 1984, Short Sharp Shock is Chaos UK's own masterpiece, and their first 12" recorded with the classic Mower/Chuck/Gabba/Chaos line up. Up there along with Discharge's Hear Nothing

CONFUSE "HATE WAR NO WAR FUCKIN WAR" LP (FANCLUB)
Hailing from Kyushu, Japan from the early 80's, CONFUSE is synonomous with Japanese hardcore across the world. Inventors of the 'raw punk' approach, a hyper-distorted version of the classic '82 Britpunk formula, they ended influencing a whole plethora of latter European hardcore bands like Extreme Noise Terror or Doom, and the whole 90's 'crust' scene. This discography LP features tracks from the 'Nuclear Addicts' 7" from 1984, the 'Contempt The Authority And Take Off The Lie' 7" from 1985, the 'Spending Loud Night' 7" recorded in 1983, their tracks from the 'Sexual Confuse' compilation released in 1985, and the 'Stupid Life' 12" from 1989, where they evolved into a more melodic, 70's rock inspired style of music, right before disbanding and mysteriously disappearing.

DUM DUM GIRLS "END OF DAZE" 12" (SUB POP)
End of Daze flows from a pair of bombastic opening tracks, through the simmering, plaintive cover of Strawberry Switchblade’s “Trees and Flowers”, to the regretful ballad “Lord Knows”, in which Dee Dee’s voice remains rich yet crystalline, a gorgeous, toned instrument revealing an awareness of fear and misstep. Closing the EP is “Season in Hell”, a raucous and practically joyful closing of the book on past pains, and, perhaps more importantly, a looking forward (“Doesn’t the dawn look divine?”) to the future. It is the last stages of grief and its repercussions, a hopeful awakening somewhere on the other side, caught on tape.  The EP was recorded in 2011 and 2012 with Sune Rose Wagner of The Raveonettes and Dee Dee’s longtime producer Richard Gottehrer, whose track record includes the Brill Building, CBGB, and Sire Records.

ROACH MOTEL "IT'S LONELY AT THE TOP" LP (FLORIDA'S DEAD)
They're here, more beer, get used to it. Gainesville’s Roach Motel (featuring future Maximum Rock N Roll columnist George Tabb) were Florida’s most noteworthy contribution to the early American hardcore scene. They ran their own label, toured with Black Flag, put out two of the most collectable Florida punk singles, and were the only Florida band to gain inclusion in Stephen Bush’s opus “American Hardcore." They existed from 1980-1984 during which time they released the "Roach and Roll" and "What The Hell It's Roach Motel" singles, and a comp 7", featuring all Florida bands, aptly titled "We Can't Help It Were From Florida" on their label Destroy Records. "It's Lonely At The Top" compiles tracks from the singles and the comp, as well as two live cuts, and the recordings which were intended for their ill fated full length. 21 blistering hardcore anthems about killing Brooke Shields, loud mouthed girlfriends, mad dog 20/20, anarchist dogs, the death of Burger King, and other such serious subjects. They combine the ferocity of early Black Flag with the snottiness of Wimpy era Queers. The record includes printed inner sleeves with track by track liner notes written by the band, pictures, and flyers. 1000 pressed in all.

SHITLICKERS, THE "1982" LP (NOISE NOT MUSIC)
Short-lived side project of Tomas Jonsson from Anti Cimex, Shitlickers is, according to most, the quintessence of raw scandinavian hardcore punk: youthful, aggressive and mean.. Featuring both their 1982 self-financed singles "GBG 1982" and "Cracked Cop Skulls" this long-awaited 8 tracker gives a little justice to this obscure all-swedish legend in distorted 80s hardcore.

AGENT ORANGE "LIVING IN DARKNESS" LP (FANCLUB)
Living in Darkness is the debut album by the punk rock band Agent Orange, released on Posh Boy Records in 1981 and showcasing the band's mixture of punk with metal and surf influences.

ANTIDOTE "THOU SHALT NOT KILL" LP (FANCLUB)
CLASSIC NYHC. A side features 8 songs recorded by one of NY's first wave hardcore bands - Antidote - in 1983. B Side LIVE AT CBGB's 1983.
