Ok, now for new distro stuff …

Picked up awesome new LPs from NYC's LA MISMA and Spain's SUDOR; the brand new 2nd EP from London's SNOB; the pulverizing new SCALPED 7"; a ton of releases from the Not Normal label including a repressing of the ripping BIG ZIT debut 7", new EPs from SIN MOTIVO and SIN ORDEN, and a handful of tapes including THE BUG Demo, THE FLOOR ABOVE Demo, CRUDE HUMOR Demo, and BUGHOUSE VOL. New Webstore Titles for October 23, 2015:
LA MISMA "Kanizadi" LP (Toxic State Records)
"After a year and a half of waiting for a proper follow up to their excellent debut 7, NYC's La Misma return with their debut LP. To cut to the chase, I'm shocked at the level of improvement from the 7" to this. The 7" was great, but this record might just be a masterpiece. There is a far more dynamic approach to the songwriting and flow of the record that really stands out. On some of the slower songs, you would possibly think that you're listening to the best (unintentional) post-punk record of the year. Every element of the band is excellent, of course, but what TRULY stands out are the guitar parts, which are the best NYC punk (or American punk) has to offer in 2015. As always, the packaging is the best in the game." - Katorga Works
SNOB "S/T (2nd)" 7" (Self Released)
Finally the long awaited follow up to SNOB's debut 7" from last year. This time around 4 tracks of aggressive distorted hardcore somewhere in between RUDIMENTARY PENI and USA CONFLICT. The songwritting has improved drastically, moving the band away from their influences and finding them in their own realm. A vital part of the current London scene and a must hear.
SCALPED "II" 7" (Video Disease Records)
Hot off the heels of their debut 7" on Warthog Speak, the Bay Area, CA's Scalped is back with their sophomore release on Video Disease. Picking up where they left off, Scalped brings us four songs of downtrodden, hateful, in-your-face hardcore heavily influenced by late-80's NYHC and early-80's Japanese HC. Heavy riffs coupled with throat-crushing vocals mixed with a Biohazard-esque swagger and devastating breakdowns, Scalped is a part of a new wave of HARDcore that refuses to back down. Featuring a guest appearance by Tony Molina. Limited edition of 300 copies.
SUDOR "Enamorado de la muerte juvenil" LP (Todo Destruido Records)
10 new tracks of raw punk from Spain in the vein of Discharge/Eskorbuto.
BIG ZIT "Electric Zit Vol. 1" 7" (Not Normal Tapes)
The Big Throbbin’ Zit's first fit. BZ has spent months and months honing a craft that the big-city, shitty-kitties can only grasp at, all so they can deliver to all you true believers the most ragingest, rockingest, ass-shakingest rekkid sure to drop this year. At least until their next opus.
BUG, THE "What’s Buggin’ You?" Tape (Not Normal Tapes)
After over a year of throbbin’ and writhin’ underground, these freaks have finally unleashed the first wave of an ongoing infestation. The Bug takes cues from Die Kruezen, Mecht Mensch, and Wrangler Brutes to make music as bratty and annoying as the members themselves. This little piece of rectanguloid plastic trash contains six tracks of contentious, screeching noise played at 78rpm, of palpable cynicism and contempt for the human turd, of rejection of punk as a marketing gimmick. The real fucking deal.
SIN MOTIVO "Laberinto b/w Tierra Del Deseo" 7” (Not Normal Tapes)
Long awaited vinyl pressing of this raw demonstration of power. Sin Motivo has been at it for some time now, making a name for themselves by crafting tight, manic hardcore tunes that are always a few notches above their closest peers. What you have here, true believers, is one sprawling behemoth spread out over two sides, blasting off at 45rpm before working itself into a trance and tearing right back into high gear before the whole thing collapses. This is an absolute monster of a record, the burly vocals and wailing guitars calling to mind fellow Texans Wiccans (which makes sense considering there's some incestuousness between the two bands). Comes with two-color screen printed insert courtesy of Ian! Freeze! Ink. Get this rekkid!
SIN ORDEN "Ha Llegado El Momento" 7" (Not Normal Tapes)
Chicago's Sin Orden is the band that never quit, over ten years of "Love & Rage" and not a single sign of slowing down or mellowing. If anything, this is a demonstration of them at their absolute best, with seven new songs that meld the raging fast hardcore punk the South side of Chicago has been producing for decades with the D-beat of Texas stalwarts like Vaaska and Criaturas. This band has factored heavily in my life ever since I first started attending shows in the city and it's an absolute honor to release this slab of wax. Play this one loud, true believers.
V/A "Bughouse I Mixtape" Compilation Tape (Not Normal Tapes)
Not a lot to it, true believers. 37 tracks of pure punk rock 'n' roll from the likes of American Hate, Baghead, Boots, the Bug, Bugg, Christi, Chuckleheads, CHUD, Coltranes, Common Ignorance, The Floor Above, Fogg, Lech, Leech, Mystic Inane, Negative Scanner, Orden Mundial, Otherized, Primetime, Slugbugs, Tenement, and Youth Sucks.
CRUDE HUMOR "Jeri’s Grill" Tape (Not Normal Tapes)
Look, everyone wants to be a freak in 2015 and in this age of danglies and glue and Vile t-shirts, it's easy to forget that most fools at the ch(A)os gig couldn't hack it for 5 minutes with a group of true freaks. And, true believers, Crude Humor is a group of true freaks. Teenaged rockers unsullied by neither trend nor pretense, this four piece from Chicago channels classic Texas weirdos like Butthole Surfers and Stickmen With Rayguns and jams them headfirst into Circle Jerks-esque trash. A perfect demo if you still like punk.
FLOOR ABOVE, THE "S/T" Tape (Not Normal Tapes)
There's a certain virtuosity and creativity that isolation cultivates. When you have no one left to impress or please, you truly find yourself. The Floor Above is a one-man wrecking crew from Nashville, TN that has been cranking out small-run demos and even a relatively unnoticed, yet completely flawless LP, for some time now of Land Speed Record-era Husker Du meets Mecht Mensch nightmare music. This is completely unhinged, unrelenting, unparalleled hardcore. Pay attention. This is how it's done.
PACK "S/T" LP (Ugly Pop Records)
Nobody can tell us that this 1978 German monster isn't one of the best footlongs of the era, a gnarly slab of pure '70s punk rock recorded in an abandoned WW2 bunker with two mics in one session. 'Pack' is just hit after hit, killer songs delivered with snarl, style and non-stop energy. Essential first generation punk, remastered with extensive liner notes and vintage photos!
LETHAL OVERDOSE "Unfinished Business" LP (Collision Course Records)
First-ever album release for this obscure Australian hardcore/crossover act. Recorded in 1988 and apparently sold on cassette at the band’s shows around that time period, that cassette is unfortunately the only existing source, and we all know how well cassettes hold up over time. However, a quality transfer and remastering job results in a remarkably decent sound. Very reminiscent of a crossover but pre-metal D.R.I. Fast and tight, anti-religion, anti-government, anti-war and anti-melody! Great riffs, intelligent lyrics, the occasional thrashy guitar lead, and just enough variety to keep things interesting in this very confining style. My only complaint is that there’s nothing in the liner notes in the way of band history, and an internet search yielded very little, other than the fact that three of these songs were actually released in 1989 on a four-band Aussie comp called Thank you Charles. Nonetheless, an excellent find and worth picking up. - Razorcake
CHOKEHOLD "Content With Dying" LP (A389 Records)
The sophomore album by this legendary 90's Canadian hardcore band is available once again! Thirteen tracks of politically charged metallic hardcore, including a remixed version of the 'Tooth And Nail' EP as bonus tracks. All completely re-mastered by Audiosiege, with a brand new layout by Dwid Hellion including lyrics insert, a 24"x24" poster and digital download code.
CHOKEHOLD "Prison of Hope" LP (A389 Records)
The debut 1993 album by Canadian hardcore legends CHOKEHOLD is finally back in print! Fourteen tracks in all (including the 'Instilled' EP) completely re-mastered by Audiosiege, with a brand new layout by Dwid Hellion including lyrics insert, a 24"x24" poster and digital download code.
CHOKEHOLD "S/T (Early Years Collection)" LP (A389 Records)
This self-titled CHOKEHOLD collection LP compiles all of the band's early EP's and splits (completely remixed) alongside select demo / compilation appearances and unreleased tracks. All completely re-mastered by Audiosiege, with a brand new layout by Dwid Hellion including lyrics insert and digital download code.
GENOCIDE PACT "Forged Through Domination" LP (A389 Records)
Washington DC's GENOCIDE PACT (members of RED DEATH / D.O.C.) present their crushing debut LP 'Forged Through Domination'. Seven bludgeoning and barbaric tracks that bring to mind the early era of classic Earache bands. Housed in heavy Tip-On style jacket with incredible artwork by Joshy Brettell (ILSA).
NOISEM "Blossoming Decay" LP (A389 Records)
Baltimore’s NOISEM return with their highly anticipated sophomore LP: ‘Blossoming Decay’. The bar has been raised with nine frantic and furious new tracks that blurs the line between grind/death/thrash metal and punk. LP is packaged in die-cut cover with fold-out full color collage inside.
ILSA "The Felon's Claw" 2xLP (A389 Records)
Washington DC's masters of occult-inspired Doom/Crust ILSA return with their fourth full length offering: 'The Felon's Claw'. Spread across two 12" records cut at 45 RPM for maximum sonic oppression, 'The Felon's Claw' unleashes ten severely down-tuned and pulverizing tracks culminating into ILSA's darkest and most focused record to date. Recorded at Developing Nations and Mastered by Audiosiege with artwork by Joshy Brettell, the vinyl pressing is sure to impress with a full size pop-up gatefold cover center-piece as well as printed inner sleeves.
MAXIMUMROCKNROLL #390 - Nov. 2015 (MRR)
It’s time for Maximum Rocknroll #390, the November 2015 issue! On our cover: AS MERCENÁRIAS, DIY post-punk legends from Brazil whose revelatory 1983 demo was just reissued on Nada Nada Discos. This issue also includes two conversations spanning the punk festival circuit: Not Dead Yet organizer Greg Benedetto sheds light on the motivations behind punk promotion, the ethical challenges of a growing fest, and a perfect day in Toronto; further south, organizers and performers alike pitch in on a brief oral history of Chattanooga’s Do Ya Hear We fest. Even more interviews in these pages, direct from the source: famously prolific MPC-augmented Ohio punks OBNOX; revolutionary Oakland noise voyagers SBSM; the dark and entrancing STRANGLED out of Edmonton; severe and austere Chicago post-punkers POPULATION; the raw noisy hardcore pandrogynous agenda of Portland’s EMASCULATOR; and last but not least, our first-ever interview with PARASITES in their nearly 30-year history spanning New Jersey and the Bay Area. As if that weren’t enough for you, we’ve also packed in photo spreads from the opening weekend of DIY Space for London and, from the dead center of the midwestern freak beat underground, Springfield, IL’s Dumb Fest 3D. All of this, the columns you love to loathe, and the most extensive reviews section in the wide world of punk print.
CRETINS "Collection" Tape (Cretins Cassettes)
New tour tape from Richmond rippers CRETINS. This tape contains their upcoming second EP due out on Deranged in a few months, plus their debut 7" from 2014.
OUTSHINED Demo Tape (Demo)
"A young new band playing a crossover hardcore style that feels both contemporary as well as refers to the past. It's a style that's quite popular these days, and for good reason, hah. Bands like Bitter End, Broken Teeth, Take Offense, etc all have a modern sound but have clearly also listened to crossover bands like the Crumbsuckers, Ludichrist and D.R.I.. The same goes for Outshined, but even more so than the aforementioned bands, you can clearly hear their late 80s influences in the way the songs are written and played. And they are good at what they do! They don't stretch out songs needlessly, aside from closing track 'On Your Time' all the tracks are done within 2 and a half minutes. Get in, do your thing, and get out. Awesome! Outshined's singer also uses a vocal style and a flow that reminds of late 80s crossover bands. I will definitely keep this band on my radar!" - http://onexpath.blogspot.com/
WORSE Demo Tape (Demo)
Rising out of the ashes of the late, great Shoxx, 3/4 of the band reconfigure and become...Worse. Heyo! Bad jokes aside, this is one of the more unique demos to come out of the NYC punk scene this year, which isn't surprising considering the people in the band. I can't really pin down what this band is like outside of saying "noisy punk/hardcore," as its a bit all over the place. The first song even has a part that sounds like Smashing Pumpkins or Nirvana haha. That being said, it's a really promising start and you should check it out! Recommended.
FERAL KID MIXTAPE VOL. 2 Tape (Feral Kid Records)
After a much anticipated wait we are finally proud to announce the availability of the Feral Kid Mix-Tape Vol. 2! 33 previously unreleased songs by such acts as Skate Korpse, Gas Chamber, Homostupids, Space Wolves, Aaron & the Burrs, and more! Dont snooze on this, quantities are limited!
BLOBS Demo Tape (More Power Tapes)
True outsider punk. 7 songs of snotty, riff-heavy, female-fronted hardcore punk. Beware of BLOBS
FACILITY MEN Demo Tape (More Power Tapes)
Five songs of dark yet catchy disturbing post-punk lunacy. The third and best cassette thus far by FACILITY MEN out of Buffalo, NY. You may recognize the vocals and drumming style as the driving force of the now defunct PLATES. if that was up your alley, then look no further, this band is for you.
FLESHY MOUNDS "You're Welcome" Tape (More Power Tapes)
Fleshy Mounds - "You're Welcome" cassette. Debut release from buffalo, ny's Fleshy Mounds. Male Fronted Hardcore with a full female backing band. truly dark and scary punk music.
GILLOOLY Demo Tape (More Power Tapes)
GILLOOLY cassette. More Power tapes plugs right along with an unappreciated upstate NY band from a handful of years ago. Members of Brown Sugar, Skate Korpse, and Golden Buffet come together for this 11 song cassette.
GLAMOUR GIRLS Demo Tape (More Power Tapes)
GLAMOUR GIRLS cassette. Third release by the up and coming More Power tapes, this time moving out to Sailorsburg, PA. Glamour Girls play a mix of dirty punk rock, youthful pop-punk, and rock n' roll, all the while intertwining professional wrestling sound clips.
KHARLOS "Don't Think About Dying at My Party" Tape (More Power Tapes)
Modern psychedelic inspired pop has never sounded better. Kharlos does it like the best of them. Driving tunes cranked out by this 3-piece with additional keys and female vocals really pushing it over the top. Very catchy, very weird, very necessary.
Restocks for October 23, 2015:

Five songs of dark yet catchy disturbing post-punk lunacy. The third and best cassette thus far by FACILITY MEN out of Buffalo, NY. You may recognize the vocals and drumming style as the driving force of the now defunct PLATES. if that was up your alley, then look no further, this band is for you.
FLESHY MOUNDS "You're Welcome" Tape (More Power Tapes)
