Finally! A new webstore update!!! NEW IN THE WEBSTORE FOR 07.13.2012

KREMLIN "WILL YOU FEED ME" 7" (HARDWARE)
Just out now! New Toronto outfit. Five brandnew slaps recorded after their two devastating demo tapes from last year. Think parts less distorted early DISCHARGE, parts TERVEET KÄDET with hints of Japanese noisecore mongers SEXUAL or early SODOM as heard on ADK Omnibus.

HOAX "S/T (THIRD)" 7" (PAINKILLER)
HOAX prove again on their 3rd 7" E.P. why they are one of the last bastions of true hardcore spite and genuine danger. Mosh-heavy songs of empowerment and anger are forged using a degraded distillation of vintage Alan Blake style riffing backed with driving, militaristic drums, and the feral anomie typically reserved for a vocalist like Mike IX Williams. Discipline comes from within.  Comes in a matchbook style fold-out sleeve with 12 panel poster insert.

STAB "NATION RISING (US PRESS)" 7" (PAINKILLER)
Four diasporic ragers based in London release 6 songs of fast fury at the state of the nation. After a positive response to the demo released early 2011, STAB continue to look back at 80s UK Hardcore whilst dissecting the now, turning their backs on the current wave of whinging punk prophesying end times to justify inaction and indifference. Bringing their cultural backgrounds together amidst recent events such as riots, failed protests and the isolationism of their island home, STAB attempts to pierce both sound waves and minds with this record.  Official USA pressing with new layout, limited to 375 copies.

CITIZENS ARREST "SOAKED IN OTHERS BLOOD" 7" (PAINKILLER)
Recorded 20 years after the break-up of these cult favorites, with their entire original membership intact, and with early member Ted Leo reinstated on second guitar, CXA achieve the quite rare feat of delivering a reunion record that fits solidly in the tradition of their classic releases. Soaked In Others Blood sounds like it could have come just after their first 7", and before their lp — perfectly encapsulating the elements that have made them a legendary band in the present day. At least a dozen bands on the Painkiller roster have been directly influenced by Citizen's Arrest's past releases, and we're proud to bring you a new release on equal footing with their legacy.

CONFINES "SOME SICK JOKE" 7" (SIDE TWO)
Confines return picking up where 2010’s “Withdrawn” left off. The new ep “Some Sick Joke” delivers three songs of raw, frustrated, ugly hardcore including the title track; a grueling attack on the state of war we live in and our best efforts to turn a blind eye. Channeling Crass records mindset through an early SST filter, “Some Sick Joke” is a pummeling and relentless American hardcore statement.  Featuring members of Boston’s finest punk outfits. (Brain Killer, Green Beret, Boston Strangler, Male Nurses, No Tolerance, Failures, Blank Stare, Bloodkrow Butcher, Social Circkle, Cut The Shit and more)

FORWARD "DEVIL'S CRADLE" 7" (540)
Forward's ripping return, from the devil's cradle, to the devil's cradle. As you know, this band comprises members of Death Side, Insane Youth, and Systematic Death, among others. After many releases, this one is Forward's most powerful in years. It has one new track and a new version of "What's the Meaning of Love?" with crucial crooning by Ishiya. The chorus to the A side says it all: "crying laughing raging put to sleep." (That'll be your reaction after you see the record's sleeve, drop the needle, pop some pills, and slam around the room.) But seriously, folks, this is the best Forward record since the "While You Alive" 12", one of the absolute classics of the late 90s Tokyo hardcore scene. Essential.

CITIZENS PATROL "RETARDED NATION" 7" (SPASTIC FANTASTIC)
Right in time for their European Tour 2012, heres the hottest stuff in European Hardcore since ages.  Citizens Patrol is hailing from the south of the Netherlands and plays some straight in your face and ass kickin hyperspeed hardcore. Imagine old US hardcore bands like POISON IDEA or REAGAN YOUTH, mixed with some blistering material from the 2000s thrash era like ExTxAx or DS13 plus newer bands like GOVERNMENT WARNING or CAREER SUICIDE. There you go. 6 songs in 8 minutes. Pure madness! + Download Code

BEWARE "WON'T GET THE BEST OF ME" 7" (BACK TO BACK)
Philadelphia’s BEWARE presents their six song debut 7”, WON’T GET THE BEST OF ME "Just when I thought the Disengage LP was going to be the only release this year that would reignite my fondness for youth crew hardcore, there is Beware who come up with one of the best EP’s this sub-genre has seen in years. Beware, which consists of (ex)-members of Stick Together, Let Down and Mother Of Mercy, play the ‘dramatic’ and melodic hardcore made famous by Chain Of Strength. Now I wouldn’t go as far and say that Beware is 2012′s Chain, but they do remind me of Circle Storm which means they’re getting close to Chain as well. However that doesn’t mean Beware is a wanna be COS/Circle Storm band. The band didn’t get stuck in the past and also have parts In My Eyes mixed up in their sound, as well as a pretty modern sound.  If you don’t like dwelling on the past too much, and do crave for a band that could have been on the Revelation roster in 1988, Philadelphia’s Beware will be your golden ticket of 2012. (Well at least untill that Mindset LP sees the light of day.)" - swnk.org

TRANZMITORS "S/T" 7" (REACT!)
With several releases spanning such fine labels as Deranged, La Ti Da, Seeing Eye, Ugly Pop, Dirtnap, and Meaty Beaty, The Tranzmitors are back with a new single on React! Together since 2005 this Vancouver band is the perfect answer to anyone looking for songs with the astute hooks of Elvis Costello’s “This Year’s Model” and the punk virility of the Buzzocks. Like the Cute Lepers and the sorely missed Exploding Hearts, The Tranzmitors have the kind of timelessness that makes you want to forget about any punk records made after 1980. Err, except for this one. I listened to this EP multiple times every day for two months straight so I can vouch for how awesome it is. Every copy will come with a free digital download

GROWING STRONGER "TOXIC FUMES" 7" (REACT!)
Out of the rain soaked gutters of the gloomy Northwest comes Seattle's own Growing Stronger. Their new EP "Toxic Fumes" is a furious onslaught of angry straight edge hardcore, much in the vein of 97a and No For an answer. Six break neck speed anthems destined to make you grind your teeth while you sit in traffic and wait for the Space Needle to fall on the car in front of you. Recorded at the infamous Dangler by Phil Jones. Layout by FACE and Bubbles. All copies will come with a free digital download, and the pressing info is 200 on GOLD, 300 on RED, and 500 on BLACK. This one is a real rager and Jim from REACT! is heading up the vocal duties so you need to check it out! This is such a special release for the label that we put together a documentary on how this record came together.

ROSE CROSS "S/T" 7" (DRUGGED CONSCIENCE)
Rose Cross is from Gainesville, FL and features members of Whiskey & Co., Bad Year, Asshole Parade, and Gomek.  That tells you nothing about how this band sounds. Imagine Signal Lost mixed with the Avengers. Yes, they have a female singer, and fuckin' eh do they rock. Basically garagey punk that has awesome pop hooks and some oomph behind unlike some garage punk that comes across kinda wimpy. Not wimpy.

WHITE WALLS "FULL FLAVOR" 7" (VIDEO DISEASE)
Latest and greatest 7" from Cincinatti's White Walls. These songs are from the same session as the first 7" and show a different side of the band. They get a little more hardcore on this release but still manage to throw in a slow creepy crawl that will make the hairs on your neck stand straight up. A crystal clear recording and an outstanding mastering job from Dan Randall gives this one a real punch that will leave you breathless.  Limited to 500 copies

YADOKAI "2ND EP" 7" (VIDEO DISEASE)
Yadokai is back armed with a new drummer and an even bigger sound. Taking cues from classic Japanese and Italian HC but infusing it with the buzzsaw attack of Discharge they have truly become a hardcore monster. Piercing guitars, thunderous drums, and the screams and distorted yells of a singer in opposition to all forms of tyranny and hypocrisy. Their best and most consistent material to date, this it the standard to which bands of this ilk should be measured.

REDFLESH "RAW WAR" 7" (VIDEO DISEASE)
Debut 7" from these Copenhagen monsters and it is a ripper! The best way I could describe this is to imagine Von covering GISM and recording a demo in a cardboard box. That may not be the right thing for everyone, but I LOVE this kind of stuff. These 3 neanderthals crash and bash their way through 4 songs filled with metallic riffs, sloppy guitar solos, tribal drumming, and the grunts and howls of a man possessed. This is the soundtrack to a war that no one asked to be a part of.  Limited to 400 copies

HUNTED DOWN "LIFE'S WOMB" 7" (VIDEO DISEASE)
Debut 7" from Syracuse, NY's hottest HC band. Hunted Down takes cues from classic USHC bands but manages to add in influences from classic Japanese hardcore along the lines of Kuro or G-Zet. The vocals almost sound identical to Morikawa from Kuro, with the same violent and nihilistic delivery but now it is being spewed forth from a degenerate of the American working class.  Limited to 500 copies

NOTHING, THE "SCREAM N CRY" 7" (SING SING)
Trixz Sly (Torquill Smith 4/23/48 - 11/01/2005), met Johnny Thunders and Jerry Nolan from the New York Dolls while they were in London in the mid-70's. He was then introduced to the Sex Pistols by the manager of the Dolls/Pistols, Malcolm McLaren, in 1977 and moved to NY in 1978. The Nothing formed in NYC in 1978 and the lineup for their lone 45 consisted of Trixz Sly (v), Bobby B. Wild (gtr) Phil Schoenfelt (b) and Mick Crash (d). By 1980, several members had left to join other bands and The Nothing broke up. Probably due to Trixz's heavy drug use which would be the major reason why he never "made it" as a popular punk musician.  Trixz later formed another band, the Cyanide Sweeties which would also dismantle due to drug use. They played the rock/punk clubs in NYC including CBGBs, and built a strong fan base playing at Max's Kansas City. He wrote the lyrics for all of his songs and would continue to play his songs with other musicians, including The Misfits, The New York Dolls, The Sex Pistols, Billy Idol, Lou Reed and Keith Richards.  Trix Sly recorded a solo album "Bossa Nova Baby" in 1980 and would continue working with experimental music and film until his death in 2005. He partnered up with Adam West (Batman) to film a documentary on Woodstock '94, but the project was never finished. At the end of his life he was an activist for the homeless in Miami and presented the "Homeless Bill of Rights" to the city of Miami Beach. He was found dead in his apartment and the cause of death was declared "natural causes." (Trixz Smith)

NASAL BOYS "HOT LOVE" 7" (SING SING)
Switzerland’s premiere punk band only released this much acclaimed 7" and that’s a shame! Some of the wildest and fastest Punk around in 1977! A unique and uncompromising sound that was ahead of its time – completely according to their slogan: “Schneller, Härter, Länger” (Faster, Harder, Longer). “Hot Love” is a monster of a Swiss Punk anthem while “Die Wüste Lebt” is a great song about being alive in the Swiss urban desert! In a TV interview from 1977, the band was asked why they didn’t dress punky. “We’re against cliches”, the singer responded, and: “Our main inspiration is U.S. Punk, not U.K. Punk.” Guess one can hear that. But still, the bands big break was opening up for CLASH when they played in Zurich in 1977. Shortly after, the band tried to make it big and changed their name to EXPO. They released an LP on a big label which is okay but nowhere near the glory of this single. Former members went on to form a number of bands including 'Aboriginal Voices' / 'Rudolph Dietrich', 'Kraft Durch Freude', 'Blue China' / 'The Bucks' - several of which were highly influential bands.

ROTTWEILER "I'M DOWN" 7" (SING SING)
Consisting of Bengt Johansson (b), Lars-Göran Bäck (d), Håkan Schüler (v) and Per-Erik Johansson (gtr), Rottweiler originally started in the town of Nässjö 1979 but moved on to Lund and Malmö in the very south of Sweden in 1980. The band´s first and only recording was released just before the move and issued in an edition of 500 copies. The B-side appeared on Powerpearls Vol. 7 but until now 'I'm Down' existed solely on the original pressing. 1981 the band decided to change names, add another bandmember and started to sing with swedish lyrics; at the same time - Perfekt Alibi was born.

SCREAMING URGE "HOMEWORK" 7" (SING SING)
Columbus, Ohio forms the southern point of Ohio's golden triangle of D.I.Y. (with Cleveland at the north, and someplace between Akron and Youngstown to the east). From these few hundred square miles emerged dozens of bands whose musical roots flow directly from the splendidly guileless art-rock of Rocket From the Tombs and Pere Ubu -with barely a trace of Ramones, Sex Pistols or Elvis Costello... Screaming Urge's "Homework" is this series' theme-song. They were certainly the punkiest outfit in the gloriously experimental Columbus scene at the turn of the '80s, but the thoroughly un-punk artwork on their LPs and the EP still scares off the headbangers. They played the heck out of Columbus' clubs, church halls, sidewalks and a burlesque club they rented. Major label nibbles came to naught, but they left behind a cool 45 (New Age 002) and two LPs-worth of world-class DIY-punk. Drummer Dave Manic went on to Great Plains.

BILL BONDSMEN "OVERCROWDED CONTROL" 7"
New Bill Bondsmen single here self released by the band. Bill Bondsmen remind me a lot of Career Suicide in approach. This Motor City foursome approach hardcore in a way that draws on a KBD style of roots punk and fuses it with an early American sounding style of hardcore. The result is a sound that borrows the musicality of punk with the fiery-ness of hardcore. On this EP I hear the Bondsmen going for the energy of Reagan Youth with the vocals and chops of Poison Idea. Another winner from this Detriot band. 7” LIMITED TO 500 COPIES WITH HAND SILK SCREENED COVERS.

SCARLET BEAST "TOO TIRED TO FIGHT EP"  7"
Here's the debut self released 7" by this inebriated Montreal band. It's 5 songs of ripping HC punk that definitely 80's based on influence. If you want some HC punk that sounds odd but isn't a retro rip off and just a little off the beaten path, check this out! It also comes with a download code.

NEGATIVE REINFORCEMENT "ENEMIES IN HIGH PLACES" 7" (VIPER DEATHLOCK)
Since forming in mid 2011 Hailing from Perth Australia Negative Reinforcement has wasted no time releasing there second ep available in its petroleum-based form 7” vinyl titled “ Enemies in High places” Negative Reinforcement not surprisingly getting themselves supports for touring bands these include Ringworm, Trapped under Ice ,Antagonist,BackTrack, sick of it all, Agnostic Front along with a countless Local shows

NERVOSAS "S/T" 7" (METH MOUTH)
This three song 7” blew me away. The A side is the single for the song “Junky”. This is total Wipers punk with crazy chorus pedals and a driving melody. I have known Mickey for years from her band New Creases and last time I was in Columbus I was bummed that they were not going to play. However, we ended up getting stuck in Columbus because our next show fell through. Mickey told us that we should jump on a show at this record store with her new band, Nervosas (they were called Witches of Kelso, or something, at the time) since we were going to be in town. I am so glad that we ended up doing that because this was the best band that I have seen in a long time. Complete songwriting and a total punk approach to a new thing. Do not sleep on this record, I am sure that you will find this record to be relevant for a really long time.

TWERPS, THE "I'M STUPID" 7" (FEEBLE MINDS)
The east coast's most recent usurpers of unruly hardcore have emerged from the wooded depths of Amherst, Massachusetts. Combining the fundamentals of straight forward USHC with the snotty melody of early 80's west coast punk rock, TWERPS offer you four tracks of rough and rowdy mid-paced hardcore with just enough gruff harmony to keep things interesting. More music for glue sniffers and general misfit fuckups.

DIE EULE IM BART DES JUDAS "S/T" 7" (SPASTIC FANTASTIC)
"Debut 7" from this new German band that has members of Napoleon Dynamite, who released a highly underrated 7" a while back. I hope they've ditched that name for good, as I don't know what Die Eule Im Bart Des Judas means, but it's a fuck of a lot better of a name than Napoleon Dynamite. The sound has changed here somewhat, though, augmenting the band's jagged hardcore with some sputters and spurts of synth that dances around the main riffs in really interesting ways. I'm really hard-pressed for band comparisons, but these guys combine the nervous energy of Nervous Gender and the Screamers with a more intense HC sensibility. A really great 7"... if you dig the more intense Total Control stuff you'll flip for this." - sorrystaterecords.com

MOMS ON METH "S/T" 7" (OFFSIDES)
French band from Lyon including some Gorilla Gripping and Lost Boys members. They play fast hardcore with female vocals . The singer is native from USA.

NO FAITH "S/T" LP (PAINKILLER)
Grinding, noise-saturated reality, likely to damage your hearing and your brain. 3/4ths of fan-fave VACCINE as well as 1/3 of the legendary SQRM attack with violent blasts of power punctuated and couched with harsh and bleak bursts of noise. Lyrics provide commentary and observation on the political climate in Ireland, thankfully free of preachy solutions.

MINDSET "EP COLLECTION" LP (REACT!)
In celebration of 30 crucial records and the subsequent liquidation of two of the label's landmark releases, REACT! Records and MINDSET are proud to announce their latest collaboration; the MINDSET EP Collection (RXR-XXX). The product of a bond formed in the back of rusting, heat-less cargo van/ death trap hurtling relentlessly through the frigid winter of 2007 during the waning days of The First Step, the REACT!/MINDSET relationship has developed from two up-and-comers to arguably one of the most crucial pairings of recent memory. The EP Collection resurrects and combines the out-of-print R E A L P O W E R (the record that started it all) with the band's raging sophomore release (also out of print!), Time & Pressure, onto a 45rpm 12". All tracks have been remixed by Kevin Bernsten at Developing Nations in Baltimore, and remastered by Carl Saff in Chicago, who ware able to collectively bring even more power and intensity to the MINDSET sound we've come to know and love. As always, graphics on this release were handled by Ev Wivell (vocals) and feature classic tour photography by Chris Bavaria (bass) from both eras of the band as well as live shots by Todd Pollock and Dan Gonyea. All this and more has been formatted into a gatefold LP, BOLD style!

ZYANOSE "NOISE PHILIA 2005-2011" LP (540)
Osaka’s distortion masters ZyanosE have been creating the most blown out, ear piercing noise to come out of Japan for the past 10 years. This LP compiles all their recorded works to date, including both EP’s, the first demo and comp tracks . You can hear the progression of the band from the Confuse-esque noisecore of the Crossing EP to the Gloom style Loveless EP and falling into their own “Insane Noise Raid” sounds on the Yotsuva and HEAL comps. This is one of the most important collections of Japanese noisecore from the past decade, from the people doing it best. Don’t miss this.

CLEAN, THE "ODDITIES" 2xLP (540)
AVAILABLE ON VINYL FOR THE FIRST TIME!!! Originally released on cassette in 1983.  It's interesting to note that by the time most folks in the northern hemisphere got out 1st taste of The Clean (circa 1985), they all but packed it in. Yep, tis true. '85 was the year of the 1st great Kiwi invasion (vinyl wise) with the Flying Nun roster leading the way. And there was nary a dud to be found. And such wonderful & unusual names; Tall Dwarfs, Sneaky Feelings, The Puddle, Scorched Earth Policy & of course, The Clean. Their trio of 12" ep's were rabidly devoured by a curious & enthusiastic cognoscenti. You didn't buy one, you bought'em all. Same goes for the 7"ers. And there just wasn't enough. Not only of Clean records, but Clean material! Then one day in some long forgotten order came a copy of the 'Oddities' cassette. The sales rep had included it as a promo, claiming he couldn't shift'em (cassette love being at something of a nadir back then). 'I'll take whatever you got' was my reply. And I hadn't even played it yet. But I knew that even though it had gotten 'runted' out on to tape only format, there was no doubt it contained a treasure trove of aural gems. You couldn't help but think that 'Oddities' was to The Clean what 'Whatever Happens Next' was to Swell Maps.Which, more or less, is what it is. Recorded between 1980-82 'Oddities' is a thorough compendium of alternate takes, addled miscues, riffing zoners & back burner gems. Never easy to come by-even the cd version had scant distro through the 90's- this bunch of songs has been been tagged as 'the ones that got away'. But hold on there pard, this story ain't done. Cut to 2012  & the inimitable Austin label, Five Four O, has taken up the call & wrangled this behemoth of  slippery Southern psychedelia into the format it has always so richly deserved-THE DOUBLE LP. Housed is fetching & historical gatefold sleeve to boot. It is a thing of beauty to both the ears 'n eyes alike. So we can all rest easy now. Them cows has finally come home. Or to quote the bard, "Justice is a dish best served rad". Indeed. So grab a spoon & slurp it up.

FRANCIS HAROLD AND THE HOLOGRAMS "THE WHITE BULL WEEPS FROM VALHALLA" 12" (VIDEO DISEASE)
The final 12" from Arizona drug lords Francis Harold and the Holograms. This is the final statement from Francis Harold and it starts off with the catchiest riff the band has ever written as the song slowly descends into the madness of Francis Harold's mind. The song then degenerates into a stripped down version of it's former self where it then incorporates noise pedals, piano, and trumpet dragging the listener into the final phase of the record. From what I was told by the band, Francis decided to destroy the equipment while they were recording, so if you listen closely you can hear Francis smashing his amps and pedals into oblivion. The band then disintegrated after this recording session and will not be heard from again.

MEMORIAL "MILE HIGH CITY" LP (RUN FOR COVER)
Mile High City is the sophomore follow up to the Memorial's incredible debut 'Creative Process/Berlin' which saw a very limited release in 2009. Mile High City is 30 minutes of both melancholy but upbeat post-hardcore for fans of Renee Heartfelt, Failure, and Elliott.

GUN OUTFIT "POSSESSION SOUND" LP (PPM)
This trio from Olympia, Washington deliver their second album via Post Present Medium, penning some seriously strong American alt. rock missives from the simplest of setups. Now joined by recently recruited drummer Reuben Storey, songwriting/guitar/vocals duo Dylan Sharp and Caroline Keith convene for a great follow-up to last year's Dim Light, said to be influenced by "The Byrds, Horses and Susan Sontag". Given the limited instrumental palette, the premise of alternating boy/girl front-persons keeps the dynamic of the album varied and continually shifting in perspective. Immediately, the one-two combo of opening numbers 'Feeling Good and 'Last Chants' confirms the calibre of this project: the former is a perfect '90s-style slacker anthem, drawing from the sounds of bands like Dinosaur Jr. and Sebadoh, while the latter is a hyper-melodic Caroline Keith-helmed number that proves you don't need a bucket of lo-fi scuzz, distortion and outlandish reverb to sound like a pertinent alt. rock band in 2010. Good stuff.

MUNICIPAL WASTE "THE FATAL FEAST" LP (NUCLEAR BLAST)
Undisputed masters of the crossover genre, Richmond, Virginia’s Municipal Waste return for their fifth full-length album in their endless quest to bring the fury, bring the laughs and bring the party to obscene new lows. Their hell-bent quest for infectious riffs and never-ending headbanging sessions has finally led them to Nuclear Blast for a debut party-on-disc that won’t soon be forgotten. Tasked with the noble aim of spreading the shred, The Fatal Feast is a more complete album than ever before. More bang, more intensity and a rounder sound make this not only the perfect party record, but also a natural fit for their epically ridiculous live shows. You can thank Municipal Waste in person for providing you with the soundtrack to the end of the world in 2012 as they tour N. America with Gwar, Ghoul and Legacy of Disorder this March/April!

MUNICIPAL WASTE / TOXIC HOLOCAUST "TOXIC WASTE" SPLIT LP (TANKCRIMES)
MUNICIPAL WASTE and TOXIC HOLOCAUST, the two bands that brought Thrash back from the punk basements to the big stage, together on one record! Two tracks each, exclusive to this vinyl split and amazing cover art by Andrei Bouzikov too. Speed Metal Punx!

MUNICIPAL WASTE "SCION AV" 7"
Scion A/V has partnered with Virginia’s speed metal punks MUNICIPAL WASTE to release a limited edition 7”. It will include the “non radio-friendly” version of the song “Repossession” from the band’s new album The Fatal Feast plus two re-recorded tracks from deep in the band’s discography. Guitarist Ryan Waste provides details:  “The tracks ‘Garbage Stomp’ and ‘Poser Disposer’ are from 2002 and were previously recorded for our 2nd release ever: a split 12” with Crucial Unit which is now out of print. We finally re-recorded them with Dave Witte on drums. ‘Garbage Stomp’ is the intro – which we’re bringing back on [our upcoming] tour.”

CHEMICAL PEOPLE "THE RIGHT THING" LP (CRUZ)
Bill and Stephen of ALL/Descendents not only produce the record but they also do some backup vocals along with Dave Smalley also of ALL (Now with Down By Law), and Red Kross guitarist, Robert Hecker. The Chem's cover G.G. Allin's 'Cheri Love Affair', and Mr. Chi Pig from SNFU wrote the lyrics for 'A Pornography'.

V/A "FOR THE SAKE OF DEDICATION" COMPILATION LP (CRUCIAL RESPONSE)
“For The Sake Of Dedication” from Crucial Response featuring lots of great European bands of the time like Sportswear, Mainstrike and Eyeball, as well as notable American bands like Floorpunch and Ten Yard Fight.

STOIC VIOLENCE - DEMO TAPE
Debut demo from the newest southern California HC band. Mixing elements of classic USHC along the lines of NYHC and the Boston Crew but mixing in the manic and unhinged vocals of Die Kreuzen or Rorschach. The band pounds out 3 songs in under 4 minutes while the vocalist yells his head off about waiting for death and hating people who change what they are to what people want them to be. Real hardcore for real punks.

LATE BLOOMER - DEMO TAPE
Four song demo for fans of Dinosaur Jr., Jawbox, Superchunk, Husker Du and anything that kicked a lot of ass in the 90s. The tape features a little bit more of the melodic and sentimental side of the band.  The band will be returning to the studio in early summer of 2012 to record their debut full-length. buy this tape as a keepsake.

SHORT DAYS - DEMO TAPE
New band from france, that really kicks that much ass, you won't believe your ears. 80s hardcore a la SOCIAL CIRCKLE, RED DONS or OBSERVERS with a slightly 7 SECONDS touch. Catchy as hell, punk as fuck, diy or die, buy the shiaaaat. Impressive debut tape, that I would love to hear from a 7Inch, but tapes are pretty oldschool too and you can listen to it anyway.

SNIFFING GLUE "S/T" TAPE
2,5 years after the last LP, SNIFFING GLUE are back on the map, to bomb your stereos with another 14track monster, that sounds as good as any '80s Reagan-era hardcore-punk record you've ever heard. Throw your BLACK FLAG and CIRCLE JERKS records in the garbage and listen to a band, that has much to offer! 14 new tracks, that burn like fire, trust me! Tape version of the LP out on SPASTIC FANTASTIC, 300 gramm carboard cover and screenprinted black tapes, limited to 150!

IRRITONES "PENIS ROMANTIQUE" TAPE
Yakuzzi Tape Version of the new Irritones LP, currently out on PTrash Recs! Of course, their 2nd longplayer is an incredibly earcanding hitmachine, what you expect from a band, consisting of ex band members from THE HATEPINKS and AGGRAVATION. First class 77s rocknroll snotpunk with a dynamic fast forward songwriting between sweet melodies and classis headcrushing stompers. This are 8 times, the Irritones, we all love them for + 2 covers, one from germanys ABWÄRTS. 150 tapes, 75 green, 75 white in premiumcovers with downloadcode.

GENERACION SUICIDA - DEMO TAPE
Generacion Suicida is members of Rayos X, Astalkulo, and Kruel playing some Masshysteri/The Vicious influenced punk, complete with dual male/female vocals. This tape was in the making for almost a year, and it was difficult to find somebody to record us (thanks Gabby Skitzo!). Generacion Suicida will be going on a west coast tour this September along with Rayos X, so keep an eye out and spread the word!

SCARLET BEAST - TAPE
2nd release from this new-ish HC punk band from Montreal. More raw and nasty then their first 7", it packs 5 songs of raging and fast 80's strength influence old school hardcore. For fans of ARTICLES OF FAITH and BATTALION OF SAINTS.

LOST TRIBE "S/T" TAPE
LOST TRIBE IS BACK WITH A NEW CASSETTE RELEASE.  5 TRACKS THAT EXPLORE NEW DARK TERRITORY.  YOU CAN PREVIEW THREE OF THE TRACKS HERE: http://losttribe.bandcamp.com/album/s-t-tape.   THIS IS A  ONE-TIME LIMITED PRESSING OF 325.

SHAVED WOMEN "S/T" CD (EKTRO)
From the barren streets of middle-America come Shaved Women. Reigning as the supreme harbingers of chaos in Saint Louis, Missouri, this nihilistic quartet has risen to the top through an effective mix of brutal noise rock and self-destructive hardcore punk. Informed by the caustic nature of small city-towns, the band focuses its feedback-drenched dirge into a cross-section of existential anxiety and landlocked depression. With the ability to simultaneously smolder and combust, Shaved Women seamlessly blend the warring guitar riffs of Black Flag, the rabid mania of The Jesus Lizard, and Drunks With Guns’ reckless abandon.

ACCEPT THE DARKNESS ZINE - ISSUE #9
Another installment of the one and only ACCEPT THE DARKNESS.  Lots and lots of good music talk as always, killer cut and paste layout, and interviews with RANK/XEROX and ILEGAL. You know you need this. Full size.

CABIN FEVER ZINE - ISSUE #1
Cool new full size zine out of RICHMOND. This first issue features interviews with Richmond's HAVERCHUCKS, Australia's SHIT WEATHER, ROY IRWIN, GRASS WIDOW, and ANASAZI, plus some reviews. Good debut, looking forward to more issues!

COLD COMFORT ZINE - ISSUE #1
Brand new zine reprinting rare interviews from old zines.  Issue #1 features interviews w/ Wretched, Final Warning, Negazione, and N.O.T.A. Full size.

NEUTRAL ACCENTS ZINE - ISSUE #1
First issue of this newish zine out of the Chicago area. 32 pages of punk rock and cult movie coverage, features HAMMER AND THE NAILS and MFP. Highly recommended!

NEUTRAL ACCENTS ZINE - ISSUE #2
Sydney Ducks/Altered Boys/The Crookes (UK) interviews. Record reviews. Article on the state of American beers by Tommy from Tommy & the Terrors. Noel Gallagher live review, and like #1, lots of ink dedicated to low brow film/movies by Joe Hawk of Hammer & the Nails and Beau from CHUNKS zine. (these two should be writing professionally. So much better than shit in "actual" film mags.) Less screw-ups than issue #1, which isn't saying much, I guess. 40 pages. Full size. Glossy pages.

MAXIMUMROCKNROLL #350 - JULY 2012
That’s right! MRR has finally brought you another PHOTO ISSUE! Two years ago Maximum Rocknroll took on a photo issue that is still sought after today. The newest issue (MRR #350, July 2012) is packed with images by photographers from all over the world. With the help of guest coordinator Mateus Mondini we have interviews with some of the most talented photographers in punk, plus photo spreads galore for you to feast your eyes on! We travel back in time with ’80s San Francisco punk photo-documentarian Jeanne Hansen, and catch up with newly published BMX-rider and punk photographer Ricky Adam and Justine DeMetrick, who has worked in the darkroom since age four discusses ’90s East Coast hardcore. Don Pyle reminisces about capturing the early days of Canadian punk, and Richmond-by-way-of-NY zinester/photographer Chris Boarts Larson shares her love for photographing bands and decaying buildings. And we’ve got a killer spread of ’80s Rio punks courtesy of Portuguese photographer Maria Da Piedade Morais who was a vibrant part of the Rio punk scene and, lucky for us, photographed its place in punk history. And there’s more! Killer photo spreads by the photo master Mateus Mondini, with contributions by punk photographers Jussi Jänis, Ashley Jackson, Virginia McCormick, Rene Olvera, Matt Average, Mattin, Will Kinser, CeCe Manning, Taigo Rossi, Rita Golsalves, Daz Reject, Ben Pepin, Mia Söderberg, Paradise, Laura Camerato, Pete Craven, Nukka, Nathan Edenhofer, Old HC Dude, Hood, Jeff Boyes, Damien Inbred, Breno Carollo, Darryl Reid, Bash, Rafael Schmucke, Amy Harrison, MD Ifran, Tarja Halkola, Fil, Rafael Yaekashi, Virus, Dave Earles, Darragh Hayes, and Ross Adams.

GRAVE MISTAKE BANDCAMP 50% OFF Code and 4th of July 7" SPECIAL!

GRAVE MISTAKE RECORDS / MAILORDER
UPDATE 07.05.2012

Hello all! Long time no talk! Been busy the past few weeks moving GMHQ into it's new location, it's been hectic but things have been falling into place. Thanks for everyone's patience with mailorder and stuff during my move. This is a quick update for you on a couple of specials I'm currently running ... expect a webstore update and some New Release updates within the coming weeks, but for now just two little bits of info I wanted to fill you in on!

GRAVE MISTAKE RECORDS BANDCAMP - 50% OFF CODE!

Well the GRAVE MISTAKE RECORDS BANDCAMP PAGE has been up and running for little over a year! We are currently streaming 36 releases in full, with Download options as well. We've received so much positive support and feedback (as well as a few downloads, too) so we just wanted to do a little something to say "Thanks" to everyone who has listened to, shared, or downloaded from the Bandcamp page ... I can't tell you how much it means to not only myself and GM Employee #1 Ashley Sykes (who created the entire page), but all of the bands on the label, past and present.

If you enter the coupon code GMDIGITHNX when you place an Album or EP Download in your cart, the cost of the DL will be cut in half! This coupon can be applied to EVERY release on the Bandcamp page, and this coupon code will be valid through July 15th.  Please use this as much as you'd like, and please help me spread the word!

7/4/12 SPECIAL - ANY 4 GRAVE MISTAKE 7"s FOR $12.00!

I realized I haven't done a webstore special in a while, so I figured I'd use the good ol' Fourth of July Holiday as an excuse to run one! This special is going to run through this weekend, and it gets you any 4 Grave Mistake 7" Releases for only $12.00 (plus shipping)!! You can click HERE to check that out and see the list of titles to choose from (pretty much every GM 7" still in print) ... perfect opportunity to save a few bucks and grab any of those new releases you have yet to pick up, or any older titles that you were curious about or have yet to grab. All you need to do is put the special in your shopping cart, then list the four singles you'd like in the "comments" section of your order!

Finally - for all of you INTERNATIONAL customers; some of you might be aware of this, but the shipping option for a "Priority Flat Rate Envelope" is a great deal when you are ordering only 7"s ... I can fit up to 15 x 7" singles in one of these Envelopes for only $17 (and it's even a little bit cheaper to Canada or Mexico) ... so if you are looking to order a bunch of 7"s, get the best bang for your shipping bucks by filling up your cart with up to 15 EPs! Just be warned, you CANNOT use this shipping option if you are using LPs or Tshirts (or more than 15 x 7"s because there is a weight limit), it applies to 7"s only for the most part. Figured I'd share that little tip with all of my international friends in case you didn't know! Feel free to email me if you have questions about it!

Thanks again for all of your support in 2012, this year has been awesome so far and there is still a lot more to come! Expect more updates very soon, and check out the NIGHT BIRDS WEST COAST TOUR later this month!
