COKE BUST "Confined" 12" and RED DONS "Notes on the Underground" 7" OUT NOW!

The new COKE BUST "Confined" 12" and RED DONS "Notes on the Underground" 7" are "officially" out today.  All of the preorders have been shipped, and we've still got some limited color vinyl left for mailorder, so if you haven't grabbed either yet please do so!

You can order both of these new releases from the Grave Mistake webstore, or expect to see them popping up in your favorite stores, distros, and online distros throughout the course the month.  We also have both releases streaming in full over at the Grave Mistake Bandcamp page, so give them both a listen if you haven't yet. Full release info is below.

In addition to these two new releases, here is a brief label update for now; BIG EYES are currently a week into their European tour, so check the event link and go see them if they play near you! The BRAIN F "Empty Set" LP test pressings have been approved, hope to have that one hitting the streets come November. The third release from Vinyl Conflict, the debut 7" EP from Richmond's HARD STRIPES also just had some test pressings approved, so look out for that one in November as well. As for the 86 MENTALITY and STRIKING DISTANCE LPs ... please remain patient! Working on the art and still hope to have these officially released before the year is up. That should be it for 2013, and I'll have a 2014 preview hopefully sometime within the next month or so (still working out some details). If all goes as planned, 2014 will be another very busy year.

I've set up a Grave Mistake Records Tumblr, please follow me!  You guessed it .... it's gravemistakerecords.tumblr.com

Finally ... if you haven't heard yet, we've set up a NO WAY RECORDS Bandcamp page that currently has 30 No Way releases streaming and available for download, so check it out! While No Way isn't active anymore, I thought it would be cool to get these releases up and available online for your enjoyment.

I think that's all of the news for now, here is the full info on the new releases ...

NEW GRAVE MISTAKE RELEASES AVAILABLE NOW:

GRAVE067: COKE BUST "Confined" 12"
Washington DC's COKE BUST deliver nine more raging blasts of full on hardcore in its rawest and most primal form.  "Confined," the band's latest release on Grave Mistake since 2011's "Degradation" EP, is their most intense work to date; which says a lot considering the sheer ferocity of the band's previous output.  This is no surprise however, considering Coke Bust have spent the past seven years of their existence refusing to rest on their laurels; constantly refining their style and successfully outdoing themselves with each release.  For the unacquainted, Coke Bust deliver their own brand of no frills fast hardcore, taking cues from bands like SIEGE, INFEST, and YOUTH OF TODAY.  Fully embracing the "less is more" philosophy, the fat has been completely trimmed on "Confined," leaving nothing but prime cut at 45 revolutions per minute. The US pressing on Grave Mistake pressing also comes with a huge 24x36 fold out poster.

GRAVE066: RED DONS "Notes on the Underground" 7"
"Notes on the Underground" is the newest single from the nomadic musical entity that is RED DONS.  Formed in Portland in 2005 by Vocalist/Guitarist Douglas Burns (ex-The Observers), bassist Hajji Husayn, and drummer Richard Joachim, RED DONS have managed to stay quite prolific while being spread across the globe and working with a collective of members and contributors.  With releases on Deranged, Taken by Surprise, and Dirtnap Records under their belts, "Notes on the Underground," which has been in the works since 2010, finally sees the light of day.  Keeping with the signature formula of their previous releases, RED DONS deliver an outstanding record that draws from many musical elements and influences to create a dark, driving, melodic sound that is distinctly their own. There will also be a European Pressing out later 2013 on Taken By Surprise.

STILL AVAILABLE:

GRAVE065: NIGHT BIRDS "Born to Die in Suburbia" LP/CD
At long last, New Jersey's NIGHT BIRDS deliver the follow up to their 2011 debut LP, "The Other Side of Darkness." "Born to Die in Suburbia" delivers fourteen new tracks - refashioning the dark overtones, surf inflections, and melodic sensibilities of their signature style without dramatically altering their core sound. The result being not only their most diverse and accomplished collection of songs to date, but an output that is more distinctly NIGHT BIRDS than ever. Rife with impassioned social commentary, tales of dysfunction and despair, and lamentations of a culture in rapid decline, "Born To Die In Suburbia" is an instant punk rock classic for this modern world on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

VC-002: DEVIL'S HAND "Welcome the Slaughter" 7"
Newest installment to the VINYL CONFLICT LABEL catalog ... the debut 7" from Richmond's DEVIL'S HAND. Comprised of your favorite cast of RVA degenerates (members of UNHOLY THOUGHTS, DRY SPELL, and SOUTHSIDE STRANGLERS), Devil's Hand tear through three tracks of their brand of total MOTOR-CHARGED mayhem. This EP is guaranteed to get fists pumping, long hair flying, bottles breaking, maybe even leave a stab wound or two.  Or you might just sit on your couch listening to it while getting stoned out of your mind. Win-win.
