WEBSTORE UPDATE 4.15.11! New NIGHT BIRDS, SHIRKS, AT, VICTIMS, more!

GRAVE MISTAKE RECORDS
WEBSTORE UPDATE 4.15.11

TWO NEW GRAVE MISTAKE RELEASES AND NEW DISTRO STUFF!

This might be a first - a webstore update two consecutive weeks in a row! I'm trying my hardest to make the updates a little bit more frequent, hopefully I won't get to the point where I'm being annoying. This update is short and sweet, but there are some records in this update that I'm really excited about.

First off, while they aren't technically out yet (you'll get the "official" announcement next week), there are two brand new GRAVE MISTAKE releases available for order in the webstore.  They are THE SHIRKS "Cry Cry Cry" 7" (GRAVE045) and the NIGHT BIRDS "Fresh Kills Vol. 1" CD (GRAVE048).  The Shirks 7" is the fourth from this DC band … you can check out the description below and see if that sparks your interest, but this is definitely one of my favorite 7"s of the year.  I've got 100 copies on RED VINYL for the collector scum, so pick up a slab and check it out for yourself!

The Night Birds CD is a collection of the bands three 7" singles and demo, 15 songs in all … I'll be selling the CD for $7 for the rest of the month, I also have a deal going which will get you both the Fresh Kills CD and a copy of the S/T 7" for $10. Pretty good, huh?  NIGHT BIRDS are easily my favorite band going these days, so if you haven't checked them out yet then hopefully this release will be a great excuse for you to do so.

And of course, in case you've missed these, it's been a pretty busy year so far here at GMHQ and the following 2011 releases are still fresh so check em out if you haven't already:

GRAVE042: DEEP SLEEP "TURN ME OFF" LP/CD - there is still WHITE VINYL in the webstore
GRAVE044: BRAIN F≠ "SO DIM" 7" - first press came and went, second press available now
GRAVE046: COKE BUST "DEGRADATION" 7" - still some WHITE VINYL in the webstore as well
GRAVE047: GOVERNMENT WARNING "NO MODERATION" LP - repress of GW's 2006 debut, still some BLUE VINYL left!

The Shirks and Night Birds will be "officially" out next week … and we are still planning to have the BAD ADVICE 7" out in early May!

Stores, Distros, and Labels looking for wholesale or trade, please feel free to email me at gravemistakerecords@gmail.com.  GRAVE MISTAKE releases can also be purchased wholesale from EBULLITION, REVHQ, NO IDEA, DISCHORD DIRECT, and more! I also love to deal direct with stores and distros of any size, domestic and international, so please don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like to carry any of these releases!

Ok, onto the new stuff in the webstore …

www.gravemistakerecords.com/catalog

Not too much new stuff, but some quality releases and a TON of much needed restocking going on in this update.  First off, I've got FIVE brand new releases from the one and only TANKCRIMES!  We've got a repress of the very awesome ANNIHILATION TIME "II" LP, first 500 are the "Valu Pak" which includes a bonus copy of the COSMIC UNCONSCIOUS" 7".  In addition to that modern classic available once again, we have some killer new releases from VICTIMS, KICKING SPIT, ANS, RAMMING SPEED, and KICKER! Picked up the newest SING SING reissues including the PANIC LP and two 7" singles from BLITZZ; got the brand new LP from Atlanta's PREDATOR; and the newest TOXIC POP release, and LP from Richmond, VA's SUNDIALS … definitely recommended if you are into the other bands on the TOXIC POP roster (Dead Mechanical, Sick Sick Birds, etc).

I put a TON of demos and tapes in the webstore … there are tapes from DRY SPELL (advance tape of their upcoming LP on Vinyl Conflict Records), SHOPPERS, TIGER TAIL (awesome new band from RVA), COKE BUST/DEVOUR/STRIPMINES (LIVE TAPE), STAB (Killer UKHC!), WASTED TIME (Discography Tape!), PHIBES, METH MOUNTAIN, PUPPY MILL, and a bunch more! I also added a few new zines as well as the newest issue of MAXIMUMROCKNROLL.

Finally, a TON of restocks from DERANGED, ROB'S HOUSE, DOUCHEMASTER, PAINKILLER, SORRY STATE, REACT!, FASHIONABLE IDIOTS, and MORE.  Stocked up once again on releases from DAVILA 666, GG KING, WAX MUSEUMS, HEX DISPENSERS, NOMOS, WHITE LUNG, NO CLASS, MARVELOUS DARLINGS, PREDATOR, FAILURES, IRON AGE, BUKKAKE BOYS, INSTANGD, and a ton more … I also picked up a few more copies of the incredible BOSTON STRANGLER "OUTCAST" DEMO, so grab that one before it disappears again!

That's all for now, thanks a lot for reading and for your continued support! 2011 has been an awesome year for GRAVE MISTAKE so far and I have all of you to thank for it!

NEW RELEASES FOR 4/15/11:

THE SHIRKS "CRY CRY CRY" 7" (GRAVE MISTAKE)
This is EP number four from one of Washington DC's finest, THE SHIRKS.  CRY CRY CRY features three more infectious, guitar driven punk rock 'n roll A-Sides with 70's punk feel - there's a heavy SAINTS / Aussie KBD sound present in these tunes - run through the 90's garage filter while maintaining a raw and primitive vibe.  To put things into perspective, Terminal Boredom might have put it best in a review of their last 7" on Windian, referring to the band's style as "East Coast tough-as-shit leather jacket punk bad ass-ness" ... while I'm not 100% sure what that means, I can't really disagree with it either because it sounds kinda perfect.  THE SHIRKS have been at it for a few years now, with each release better than then next - if you have yet to check them out, then what better place to start than with this 7"?

NIGHT BIRDS "FRESH KILLS VOL. 1" CD (GRAVE MISTAKE)
Hopefully you've heard NIGHT BIRDS by now, as they've made a name for themselves over the past year with three incredible 7"s and a killer live show.  In preparation for their full-length LP, "The Other Side of Darkness" due out summer 2011, we decided to give you all a little recap just in case you need to play catch-up before the LP hits.  This CD compiles the first two years of the band's existence; including their 2009 demo, the "Killer Waves" 7" on Art of the Underground, the "Self-Titled" EP on Dirtnap / Grave Mistake, and the very recently released "Midnight Movies" 7" on No Way Records.   If you have yet to check out NIGHT BIRDS, then this might be a perfect starting point because you get it all at once!  15 songs in all, packaged in a concise layout with flyers, photos, and lyrics.  These Jersey boys take all of the best elements from bands like ADOLESCENTS, D.I., AGENT ORANGE, and DEAD KENNEDYS (to name a few), to create some of the most infectious snotty surf-influenced hardcore punk this side of Rikk Agnew's cat corpse.  There is no doubt that the NIGHT BIRDS are going to be the soundtrack to your summer so get hip to 'em now or pose hard later!

PREDATOR "S/T" LP (DOUCHEMASTER)
Our new years resolution in 2011 was to refrain from using the words “pop” or “catchy.” We’re sticking to our guns on this release at least as this LP is a punk behemoth. If you remember the Frantic, you know that Mike and Brannon don’t pick up instruments without asking themselves what Rick Agnew would do. This record is short and deliberate, but you can definitely pick up tinges of post punk too. The Adolescents worship continues, but you get the idea they may be secretly digging Warsaw. Comes with a download, fool.

ANNIHILATION TIME "II (VALU PAK)" LP (TANKCRIMES)
ANNIHILATION TIME (2001-2009) found the missing link in creating their over the top sound, combining snotty 80's hardcore with vicious 70's proto-punk and rock 'n roll. "II" (2005) is their defining album, now available again on vinyl in a gatefold jacket. First re-press of 500 pieces on blue vinyl includes bonus 7" (Cosmic Unconscioussness).

ANS / RAMMING SPEED - SPLIT 12" (TANKCRIMES)
A.N.S. continue to explore into the realms of skate rock, crossover, Suicidal Tendencies, and My War side-B. RAMMING SPEED are channeling the early Earache grind catalog and freshening it up with some d-beat action and serious whammy attack duel lead thrash metal guitars.

KICKING SPIT "PSYCHROCKBULLSHIT" LP (TANKCRIMES)
KICKING SPIT is an American rock band influenced by alternative and classic rock n’ roll combining elements of hardcore, punk, and noise rock; melodic guitar solos, droning vocals, feedback, extreme volume, and the loud-quiet dynamic. It's not exactly pop, it's not exactly punk rock. The guitar work draws heavily from a hardcore past, as do the bass lines, with their alternating heavily distorted, fast chords and pulverizing lows, and the drumming, full of quick monster fills and relentless pacing. These songs are really catchy and definitely have an early ‘90s feel to them that’s sure to grab any fans of that era’s college rock / alternative sound.

VICTIMS "A DISSIDENT" LP (TANKCRIMES)
The latest album from VICTIMS, recorded by Linus Wiklund with assistance from Nicko (of Entombed). What a rager! When the first chords of opener "Theft" interrupt the album's haunting intro, it's apparent that the years under their belt have only allowed VICTIMS to become even more charged. For nearly half an hour, A Dissident rages full bore from one punk/hardcore anthem to the next with heavy hooks, a mean D-beat, and flawless examples of the classic hardcore/metal crossover power that they are known for. VICTIMS' unrelenting ferocity, unforgettable choruses, and Swedish quest for perfection has pushed the blueprint of their influences (Discharge, etc.) to a new contemporary level.

PANIC "13" LP (SING SING)
Sing Sing are proud to announce the reissue of this Dutch masterpiece of punk rock from Amsterdam's Panic! Their debut release from '78 simply titled '13' is a powerful album of perfectly constructed, attitude-riddled punk numbers from start to finish. Nevermind the Sex Pistols references on the album cover, Panic aren't getting their sounds from Rotten & Co. but with songs like "He Can Come" and "13" we're sure they picked up a thing or two about vulgarity from those chaps. Panic's sound, however, is uniquely successful and no doubt plays a part in the albums reputation amongst collectors.  PANIC formed in 1977 as a follow up to the short lived band “Big Peter and the Terrible Garage” (see poster on album cover). In 1978 PANIC’s LP 13 was released by two labels; first by Universe (red vinyl) and then by Ariola (black vinyl). The reissue comes in a gatefold jacket with liner notes by Peter Penthouse, unseen band photos and your own personal copy of the 'Big Peter' poster.

SUNDIALS "NEVER SETTLE" LP (TOXIC POP)
Richmond, VA's Sundials offer up their first full-length and we couldn't be more excited to bring this to you via Toxic Pop Records. "Never Settle" is 12 toe-tappin' tunes of witty and intelligent indie/pop/punk, with plenty of nods and winks for the bookworms out there. Comparisons can be made to 90s alt/rock greats like Buffalo Tom and Afghan Whigs or more modern groups like the Weakerthans, Cheap Girls, and Spraynard.
Comes with coupon for free digital download.

THE NEW HOPE - CLEVELAND PUNK COMPILATION 2LP (SMOG VEIL)
Back when hardcore was king, every major scene had a defining compilation and Cleveland was no exception. The New Hope comp was the first release ever on Tom Dark’s New Hope Records. A single LP affair originally released in 1983, The New Hope included debut performances from The Guns, The Dark, No Parole, Offbeats, Agitated, Zero Defex, Starvation Army, Spike In Vain, Outerwear, and PPG.  Smog Veil has licensed the release from Tom and worked closely with members of the original bands to compile up an entire LP of extras recorded back in the day. New liner notes were written by both Tom Dark and Tom Miller.  Strictly limited to 500 copies on crazy mixed color vinyl, the release also includes a free download code with even more songs that couldn’t fit onto the double LP. High recycled content packaging. This won’t last!  “On THE NEW HOPE, there’s plenty to dig out. 11 bands delivering 30 songs, not one to be missed, if you ask me. THE GUNS two tracks sound like an unreleased pre-Rollins Black Flag demo tape which, as you can guess, is not exactly a bad thing.” –Good Bad Music For Bad Bad Times blog

BOBBY UBANGI "INSIDE THE MIND OF BOBBY UBANGI" LP (ROB'S HOUSE)
Review: atlanta's champion craftsman of the three-chord garage sing-a-longs goes by the name of bobby ubangi and this record is a rare trip inside the same mind that brought you the lids and the gaye blades. recorded on 4 track, the most humblest of DIY methods, the tracks range from lo fi rockers to sappy garage tear jerkers but with guest appearances by old king cole younger (black lips), jared swilley (black lips), king khan, gentleman jesse, and many others 'inside the mind of' is anything but simple. the LPs 12 track pack a punch and attest to the wonders an able song writer can do with just three simple chords!

RVIVR "S/T" LP (RUMBLETOWN)
Awesome personal-as-political Olympia punk, ex-Latterman/Shorebirds. From the cover of Razorcake to punk house basements across the world, RVIVR cover a lot of ground while still being active members of the Olympia community. Their music avoids a lot of pop punk traps by having a good deal of old fashioned rock n' roll in their sound and an obvious knowledge of music history. An incredibly solid, long-awaited, full length.

HELLKONTROLL "WANKER WAR" 10" (VINYL RITES)
13 minutes of intense, violent and uncompromising noise punk. Art by Evan of Horrid Cross/Divisions. 300 Copies.

BLITZZ "GO NOW" 7" (SING SING)
All members of the Blitzz could frequently be seen playing at jam sessions in the 70s Amstedam rock-scene before they decided to join forces. When Mick Ronson (David Bowie's Spiders from Mars) heard them play at a venue in the Amsterdam Red Light District he immediately fell for the compact sound of the band. This memorable evening led to the recording of 'So Free' in a London recording studio soon afterwards.  The first single from The Blitzz was released by EMI in the UK and on the Continent in September 1978. 'So Free' went up the charts in several European countries in the months to follow. In December of the same year their second single 'Go Now' was recorded at the renowned Pebble Beach Studio in Brighton and released in the beginning of 1979. After three years of successful touring the band decided to split up to pursue personal goals.

GAMES "DON'T LOOK FOR HER" 7" (ROB'S HOUSE)
Review: Games are made up of ex members of Busy Signals and Gentlemen Jesse but to call them a powerpop band would be missing the point. These guys are mining sounds that predate that stuff by a good 5-10 years. Yea, its the kinda stuff that would later influence 'powerpop' (Greg Shaw recognized this early on when he reissued Rockin' Horse on his Voxx label) but there are no skinny ties and Rickenbackers. Instead, Games are tackling maturer themes with a slightly darker approach to pop. You'll also notice a few glam undertones as Games' seem to be genuinely interested in exploring all 'pop' can offer rather than repackaging / remarketing any one style. Rob's House is pleased to release Games' debut single.

KICKER "INNIT" 7" (TANKCRIMES)
KICKER is punk rock from Oakland, California featuring frontman Pete “The Roadie” and other old guys. Pete has been a punk since it's inception, working as a roadie for bands for the past 30 years including Subhumans and Amebix. This is his first band and he's on vocals, backed by current and ex-members of Neurosis, Dystopia, and Filth! Includes screen printed jackets on heavy recycled chip board with black vinyl and sticker - limited to 400 pieces.

DOPAMINES "SOAP AND LAMPSHADES" 7" (COLD FEET)
Picking up right where their debut LP left off, Ohio's Dopamines offer up six brand new songs! This time around, everything's a little faster, a little bleaker, and contains at least 30% more anxiety, but without losing any of their signature Midwestern pop punk hooks. It's impossible to listen to this EP only once in a sitting, it demands at least two or three every time.

TALBOT ADAMS "JACK AND JESSE" 7" (DOUCHEMASTER)
In case you've forgotten already, Talbot was the front man for The Black and Whites. With the birth of his twin boys, Talbot had to keep the noise down a bit and wrote some quieter stuff. Super sweet and frankly touching stuff from former wild man turned dad. He does it Douche Master style with four songs all under two minutes. Packed full of Talbot's patented male oooohhhs. 500 pressed.

HOUSE BOAT "PROCESSING COMPLAINTS" 7" (TRAFFIC STREET)
After releasing one of 2009's best full-lengths, the band featuring Grath and Ace of The Steinways, Mikey Erg, and Zack Off-With-Their-Dear Landlord's-Rivetheads is back! On their new EP, House Boat does what they do best five times over. You want novelty? Innovation? Vicissitude?!? You're outta luck. Processing Complaints is smart-alecky, self-deprecating pop punk in five quick bursts. Catchy and to the point.

WASTED TIME - DISCOGRAPHY TAPE
Malaysian tape pressing of the entire WASTED TIME catalog. Includes both 7"s, the FUTILITY LP, and the demo/No BS track. Killer USHC … all on one convenient tape!!!  Not many in the US, grab it for your boombox at the beach this summer!

COKE BUST / DEVOUR / STRIPMINES - LIVE TAPE
Crushing live set from 5/6/2010 @ GSS2 in Raleigh from Raleigh's own Sic Senstation, Stripmines, Devour and DC's own Coke Bust. Well over an hour of music here. Released by all the bands and myself. All tapes come on yellow shells, pro-pressed, and #'ed out of 400 ever.

TIGER TAIL - 2011 DEMO TAPE
New band from RICHMOND, VA! "The opening track of the demo, “Intro” is entirely instrumental, and the longest song of whole EP by at least a minute. Your first impression is that of the recent resurgence in early 90’s emo revival (Look Mexico, CSTVT, etc). The whole track I was debating as to when the vocals were going to kick in; were they going to be super gruff male vocals ala Polar Bear Club, or cutesy girl vocals ala Lemuria? Much to my delight, “Intro” evolves perfectly into the upbeat and nostalgic “Best Damn Summer” – a track overflowing with a long for days past and teenage relationships. Despite my initial gut feeling, the vocals were neither gruff nor cutesy, rather they were more like Jawbreaker or Joyce Manor than anything else. The hauntingly empty repetition of the line, “it was the best damn summer of my teenage years” evokes the pessimistic perspective of Paul Baribeau with the guitar hooks and power of early Polar Bear Club.  Needless to say, this 5-song, 13 minute EP is extremely powerful, especially considering it is just a demo tape. Tiger Tail might just be the most important demo to listen to in 2011. I wouldn’t be surprised if 6131, Tiny Engines, or even No Idea jumped on these guys for a debut EP. - the1stfive.com

STAB - DEMO 2011 TAPE
This is savage mutiny spat out by four diasporic menaces as they pull at the fabric of the drug/knife infested, politically incestuous, big brother Babylon that is London, (y)UK 2011. Fractured minds produce the sounds of a rabid mongrel rattling the bars of man's self-imposed prison whilst hacking at the tomb of 80s UKHC…I've seen comparisons to RIPCORD and NO COMMENT.  Tape comes in a black shell with printed label and transparent stamped insert in a hand linocut printed mailer box (seriously, this thing is top notch!).

CONGA FURY / I'M DIET - SPLIT DEMO CDR
3 songs of ballistic, ear-drum busting noise from Conga Fury.  9 songs of happiness and joy from I’m Diet. 300 made, mini-CDr in DIY as fuck packaging.

DRY SPELL - S/T TAPE
Some of the VA commonwealth's greatest gentlemen, this lp displays DRY SPELL's most outstanding efforts yet. Whether your a fan of late 70's Punk, or 80's HC you'll dig what their going for. 10 Songs here, some which are on previous recordings, but never sounding this good. You can't really pinpoint their sound, but you can hear elements of Feel the Darkness era Poison Idea, The Slower parts of Jerry's Kids- Is this My World, and Maybe some late 70's Australian Punk? Who knows? You be the judge. Limited to 200 copies.  On VINYL CONFLICT RECORDS, This is the bands upcoming LP on cassette format. This is to give the people a chance to hear the album while it's in production.

LAKE FOREST - DEMO TAPE
Shoegaze solo project by Trevor Clement of WHITE GUILT. Lo-fi, mellow "indie" (I hate that term) with distorted yet melodic guitar.  Only ten copies were made earlier this year, but here's a legitimate press. Limited to 100 pro-quality, hand crafted cassettes.

SHOPPERS - DEMO TAPE
Legit repress of the band's tour tape from back in September. Limited to 200, pro made cassettes featuring four new song about acquaintance rape and hard feelings. No deviation from the first Drugged Conscience cassette, fuzzed out, female fronted noisy punk with heavy nods to 90's indy ala SONIC YOUTH and DINOSAUR JR.

METH MOUNTAIN - DISCOGRAPHY TAPE
This tape features 18-tracks from this short lived Charlotte, NC, band. The tracks span from their demo tape, "Drugs Rule" (Statuestory) put out in early 2009, to their cdep, "Gentrifi-cat" (Self Aware), to their final official release, their 7", "Monotony"

ORAL FIXATIONS - AUDIO ZINE TAPE
"Two hours of harrowing and eclectic stories recorded over a couple years and many state lines. Our curator/editor is pretty removed from the punk scene at this point, he is a little busy presenting at economics conferences in Malaysia and being a renaissance man, but there is still a sense of grime and underground throughout the stories. It's obvious that some of the people telling them are also in bands (Loser Life, Coke Bust, etc.) so it's not totally random that we put this out, but I love the darkness in this tape that reflects well on some of the music Vinyl Rites releases." -tolivealie.com

OUT CROWD - DEMO 2011
"I’m here to testify – I was pleasantly surprised. My first reaction is it sounded somewhat like vintage Ray Cappo snarl fronting a more oi!-leaning YOT. The intro comes on like Blitz, while opener “Blue Bloods” navigates vintage NYHC territory, as does the 51 second “What Are Friends For.”  The last cut rumbles on with a more pointed oi!-ish purpose and its message “I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired” morphs into the closing statement “just stay positive, it’s the best way.  The entirety of the thing is under 4:00 minutes, so I don’t have much to go on, as well as no lyrics, but I likes what I likes and this is definitely hanging out in my rest stop (the bathhouses of the 90s.) I am duly impressed. Out Crowd could very soon be a band people are talking about." - LEYTONBUZZARDS.WORDPRESS.COM

PHIBES - DEMO 2011
PHIBES is a new punk band from NJ with the same assholes who brought you Wormeaters, Bloodtype and Rip It Up. Don't expect it to sound like those bands, this is heavily influenced by early 80's California punk. Fans of bands like Adolescents, Germs, Battalion of Saints, TSOL and the Nardcore bands won't be disappointed. The songs are melodic, but pack a hard punch to the face.  Limited to 250 tapes with full color covers, screened cases, great recording and shrink-wrapped. The whole package looks as good as it sounds. (5 songs)

PUPPY MILL DEMO TAPE
"Demo tape from this new Boston band featuring a number of ex-members of and recorded by Ryan from Blank Stare / Social Circkle at Side Two Studios. This is some strong, garagey punk with really powerful female vocals... the vocals themselves remind me a lot of Nuclear Family, but the music is more dirty, mid-paced garage, sort of reminding me of Nirvana's Bleach LP in places, but with a garage bent as well. Awesome stuff and I'm sure we'll be hearing more from this band soon." - sorrystaterecords.com

PUBLIC SUICIDE "AGORAPHOBIC" TAPE
Seven songs of awesome, hardcore-inflected oi! from this new Bay Area, California band who I believe features members of Valoids. This has moments of total Blitz worship, though fed through a strong filter of raw US hardcore and a touch of Screeching Weasel-inspired pop punk... the combination is enough to keep this aggressive as shit while still catchy and memorable. Cool stuff.

MAXIMUMROCKNROLL #336 - MAY 2011
It’s in! Maximum Rocknroll #336, the May 2011 issue, has hit the stands and it is not to be missed! We have interviews with powerful Japanese hardcore ragers KRIEGSHĂ–G, and Steve Ignorant explains his motivation for his controversial recent solo tour playing CRASS songs. TEARGAS from Australia give us some insight about their imagery and the drive to make their style of hardcore, TANTRUM delves into what it is to be a punk in Japan and the motives behind playing Italian style thrashcore, and we talk to London’s disjointed, aggro post-punkers HYGIENE. We have the SHOPPERS from NY discussing their politically tinged, melodic pop punk; punk author and publisher Chris Walter keeps it gritty; old schoolers ADRENALIN OD; and ’80s style hardcore band SPASTIC PANTHERS from Canada. In “Crass Commercialism” our writers discuss the seemingly paradoxical nature of Steve Ignorant’s tour and the message of Crass, and we have a great Hungarian scene report covering “Defekt Punks.” All of this plus a massive amount of record reviews, news, and columns!

WHEN WE'RE YOUNG, WE'RE INVINCIBLE - ISSUE #7 ZINE
Brand new issue of this Australian fanzine featuring interviews with KROMOSOM, TOTAL CONTROL, and PUKEOID. Also includes some record reviews and editorials. A great look at the current Australian punk and hardcore scene. A4 size, 12 pages.

SUBJECT - ISSUE #1 ZINE
Debut effort from this Buffalo, NY zine. Includes interviews with SHITTY LIMITS, BRAIN F, local winos BROWN SUGAR, and several record reviews. The interviews are definitely the highlight here - well thought out questions receive some great/some painfully stupid but all worthwhile answers. While the layout is extremely basic, there is plenty of quality dialogue to appease any punk/hc fan. Screen-printed cardstock covers too! Half size, 24 pages.

SEVEN INCHES TO FREEDOM - ISSUE #9 ZINE
Newest issue of this consistently great Florida zine. Includes interviews with NEON BLUD and RESURRECTIONISTS as well as a history of Sound Idea store/mailorder written by the man himself, Bob Suren. Also included is a piece on "punks aging gracefully" and the usual features you've come to expect from SITF (columns, my first record stories, reviews). This zine has always delivered quality content and layout and comes highly recommended. Half size, 46 pages

ZERO MENTALITY - ISSUE #5 ZINE
Cool half sized zine from the PA area … features an interview with Philadelphia's LEATHER, plus pretty cool top ten of 2010 recaps and some reviews.
