A quick webstore update for you before you enjoy your weekend! All Grave Mistake 7" releases are on sale for the next week! Not to mention, I've marked down over 200 7" titles in the webstore. Usually I save this sort of thing for the fun "holiday" that is Black Friday, but this year I decided to get a head start on cleaning house.

So, earlier this week I decided to run this pretty sweet Grave Mistake 7" sale, and you can check that out HERE. Yup, every single Grave Mistake 7" release we have in stock is on sale in some form or another. Newer releases are $1.00 off, older releases are marked down even more (some over half off)!!! The sale on Grave Mistake titles will only run until next Friday (9/18/05) so take advantage while you can!

In addition to that, I've also marked down 200 additional distro 7"s! You can check out those titles HERE in the webstore, or if you wanted to do a quick scan I've made a convenient clickable link list HERE. Great for people looking to check out some new bands or pick up some records on the cheap.  If you want to make the most of your bargain hunting, don't forget about the preexisting clearance / markdown section in the store as well, which you can find HERE. Over 500 7"s, LPs, CDs and Tapes for some really nice prices!

NIGHT BIRDS Sale and Test Press Contest

NIGHT BIRDS' new LP is right around the corner, so we decided to do something fun here at GMHQ to get you stoked on it! All Night Birds releases on Grave Mistake are on sale for the next month, and if you pick up a release you will be elidgible to win a Test Pressing of their Born to Die in Suburbia LP.  Check out the post HERE to get the full scoop!

Mutiny at Muscle Beach will be out October 2nd on Fat Wreck! We are stoked and you should be too ...

New Webstore Titles from ROYAL HEADACHE, EXIT ORDER, THE STOPS, CONCEALED BLADE, EARTH GIRLS, AJAX, and MORE!

Finally, a few more new bangers in the webstore, as well as a recap of some hits from last week that you still might need to pick up.  New for this week, finally scored copies of the ROYAL HEADACHE High LP! An incredible release, this LP is gonna find a spot in my Best of 2015 list for sure! I also grabbed copies of another LP I've been digging a ton, the debut LP from Portland's THE STOPS!  Definitely another recommended new release for you to check out. Also picked up a few copies of the debut 7" from Boston's EXIT ORDER! Featuring members of a few bands you probably already know (Green Beret, Leather Daddy, Chain Rank) - this EP is a strong follow up to their demo that came out a year or so ago. Was lucky enough to catch em in RVA last weekend and they shredded - so definitely give this one a listen!

Restocked the CONCEALED BLADE, AJAX, and EEL 7"s that just came out on Beach Impediment, so do yourself a favor and scoop em all up.  Not to mention, still have a few copies of the new 7"s from DC's PROTESTER and Chicago's EARTH GIRLS (who will have their debut LP out in 2016 on Grave Mistake!). And, in addition to this new stuff, the debut LP from BOSTON STRANGLER, Primitive, is now back in print and the store is stocked up for those of you who weren't lucky enough to grab a copy when it first came out.

Finally, a few new tapes in the mix, like the demo from new Richmond act UGLY and cassette verion of the brand new UTAH JAZZ full length!

That's all for now ... IRON BOOTS Complete Discography LP preorders next week??? Maybe!

Thanks for reading!

New Webstore Titles for 9/11/15:

EXIT ORDER "S/T" 7" (Side Two Records)
Boston ripper Exit Order's debut EP steps away from the non stop hardcore of their demo and shifts into a catchier UK82 meets Welcome to 1984 euro punk style. Featuring members of LEATHER DADDY, GREEN BERET, and CHAIN RANK.

ROYAL HEADACHE "High" LP (What's Your Rupture Records)
Following a period of rest and reflection and a recent performance at Sydney, Australia's Opera House, Royal Headache is ready to ride once more. "High" injects even more soul and passion into the breakneck formula that became synonymous with Royal Headache. If their first album was akin to a courtship, think of "High" as the romance. Not just on the level of two people falling in love, but a romance with the qualities of pop music that make Royal Headache who they are and inform what they do: eternal optimism, wistful beauty and interlocking presentation that evolves from four guys singing on a street corner to speed-addled rock, and all the brightness and darkness in between, teetering between stability and chaos and total awareness of how unsteady their footing might be. The amount of emotion and range of Shogun's vocals and the whip-smart counterpoint provided by the band - drummer Shortty, guitarist Law, and bassist Joe - present a dash through decades of pop history, recombining not just the music but all of the feelings of pain and joy elicited from audiences, supercharged and ready to explode once more.

STOPS, THE "Nameless Faces" LP
 (Dirt Cult Records)
These five women from Portland, OR play dark and melodic punk rock for fans of old school OC punk bands like The Adolescents as well as their hometown predecessors like The Wipers and The Observers. Absolutely essential.

BOSTON STRANGLER "Primitive" LP (Fun With Smack Records)
The debut LP by Boston Hardcore's prodigal sons... All the best bits n' pieces of SS DECONTROL, The F.U.'s, JERRY'S KIDS, DYS, LAST RIGHTS, DEATHWISH, IMPACT UNIT etc, squeezed through a meat grinder, filtered through Springa's coke and cum saturated digestive system, and defecated out into a primo-choco-log of 12" vinyl... NOT FOR THE WEAK! Boston Strangler shares members with Rival Mob, Waste Management, Peacebreakers, No Tolerance, Battle Ruins, Scapegoat and more.

V/A "Still No King" Compilation 7" (Dis-Illusioned Records)
See here, new compilation EP featuring off-beat players of the UK82/raw punk inclinations characteristic of the eastern seaboard. SAVAGEHEADS (Boston, NY) kick things off as they once did on their earliest demo offering, presenting the crud-stomper, 'Detained.' Back to basics, ROTTEN UK here present their finest track to date, 'Siouxsie Sioux:' an ode to the lady with the liner. PRIMITIVE PACT (Brooklyn, NY), nasty outsiders of the New York scene, give us 'Keep Staring' on the flip. A new group from Montreal, SEXFACE here present one of the most interesting tracks of the lot: 'Cult Culture' says it plain. Four songs of filth. Pick your king? Still no king; incidental colonialism.

GREEN DREAMS "Rich Man, Poor Man" 7" (Cherish Records)
"The ‘90s are back! Not the tight rolled-B.U.M. Equipment-Hypercolor bib-overall-jean shorts ‘90s, we’re talking some Docs-shorts over the thermals—fuck it, I might just wear two flannels at one time ‘90s. Grungy, distorted female vocals. Crunchy, chewy, stonerific guitars. This shit takes me back to a bygone era. Four tasty little nuggets from this Rochester, NY three-piece. A real substantial snack." - Razorcake

LOVE CANAL "Enter the Love Canal" Tape (Black Dots Records)
The interbreeding of Buffalo’s underground taken to a logical conclusion. A punishing brand of noiseladen hardcore birthed in the unforgiving desolation of suburban Western New York.

UTAH JAZZ "Ivory Wave" Tape (Black Dots Records)
Years in the making, we're pleased to announce the release of the debut UTAH JAZZ LP, "Ivory Wave." Featuring members of the worldrenowned BROWN SUGAR and regionally legendary MAYDAY, The UTAH JAZZ have been helping reform the dominant sound of the Western NY punk scene with their undefinable brand of dualguitar rock'n'roll wankery for nigh on five years now. A morethansuitable follow up to their previous works on #2 guitarist B. Gaffney's Media Schlitz imprint. F.F.O. HOMOSTUPIDS (... the mutant sounds of Cleveland, Ohio), ZZ TOP and good ol' fashioned American psychedelia.

UGLY Demo Tape (Demo)
From Richmond, Virginia, UGLY is the perfect name for the music they play. Fast demented riffs, shredded throat vocals and rhythms that sound like they can derail at any moment. Their first offering is a four song blast of noxious rage that will leave you feeling ugly and liking it.
