NEW and IMPROVED Grave Mistake Webstore is up now! Plus a full WEBSTORE UPDATE!

GRAVE MISTAKE RECORDS / MAILORDER
Webstore Update - 03.21.14

The NEW Grave Mistake Webstore is up NOW!

Yesterday marked the first official day of Spring for 2014, so today is a very fitting day to be bringing you this update. I am extremely excited to announce that the brand new (and highly improved) GRAVE MISTAKE RECORDS WEBSTORE is officially up and running! I have been talking about doing this since last year, and working hard for the past few months getting everything ready and prepping for the jump from my old store.  Today I can proudly say that all that work has paid off, and I hope you feel that way too.

You'll be able to spot the obvious differences and thankfully the new shop is much much faster, runs a lot smoother, and hopefully you will find it much easier to browse the full catalog and place your order. I've tried to set the format/category list up to make things as convenient as possible, and hopefully I will find the time to do a bit more specific organizing and catagorization in the coming months.  With the exception of the "sale" stuff (and that might come back at some point), almost everything from the old store is still available so not much has changed on the selection front.  Take a look and let me know what you think!

The one major change all of you previous Grave Mistake customers should be aware of is that your passwords and accounts for the OLD store will not work with this one (sorry about that inconvenience).  BUT if you wish to set up a new account you can do so HERE before you begin browsing (it should only take a quick minute of your time). Or, if you prefer not doing that, you can actually now just checkout as a "guest" without an account! I've also set it so using a Credit Card should be much easier as well and of course, Paypal is always an option!

I've put a couple of helpful links including an overview and an FAQ for the new store in the right side menu of the shop if you were curious.  So head on over and check it out, and if you have any questions just drop me an email and I'll get it sorted out.

Now that that is out of the way, let's talk records!  I realized that it's been exactly a month since the last email update, and there's been a TON of great stuff coming into the store so let's catch up …

GRAVE MISTAKE WEBSTORE:

Some of the "new" stuff in this list has now been circulating for a bit, so let's start with the brand new hits first and go from there. Finally was able to get my hands on a few copies of the awesome debut 7" from Boston's PEACEBREAKERS - after a few delays, this slab has finally made the rounds in a tangible format so grab it while you can b/c there are only 500 floating around!  Classic Boston core sound, so it's really a no brainer.  Another highly anticipated 7", the debut EP from WARTHOG, has also found it's way into the distro; stoked to see them play here in Richmond tomorrow.  I also was able to grab the latest archival hit from the one and only Dischord Records, that being the SOA "First Demo" 7" - a classic band who needs no introduction!

Speaking of reissues, Southern Lord hit us with two monsters this past month which come in the form of reissues from BL'AST and THE OFFENDERS.  The BL'AST is an insane triple LP reissue of their "The Power of Expression" LP; they went all out with this thing - 3 LPs worth of alternate mixes and versions and a 28 page booklet - and while you might to yourself "isn't this a bit overkill?" ... hell no!  It rules! Also note that it's priced very affordably for what it is, so you get; the best um, "BL'AST for your buck" if you will … I've seen single LP (both new and reissues) with minimal liner notes and packaging go for over $20 new, so considering new LP and reissue pricing in recent years, I will argue that this release clearly is for everyone and not simplly just the diehards!  And of course, we also have a great double LP reissue from TX's legends THE OFFENDERS!  Both of these LPs are classics and should be in any punk's collection - and SL has gone all out with this one as well so this reissue also comes highly recommended as well.

Back to the new release selections - picked up the new LP from Italy's GIUDA; grabbed a few of the latest from Distort Reality including THE CORPSE 7", ATTACK SS / FRENZY split 7", and 2nd EP from Florida's ECTOPLASM; picked up the latest 10" from PDX's BELLICOSE MINDS  along with some additional new A-389 hits from HAYMAKER and INTEGRITY; nabbed the first two LP releases from the new Standards label out of San Diego area which are the debut 12" from ADULT CRASH and the final 12" from WACO FUCK; picked up the newest MAXIMUMROCKNROLL Compilation - a double LP worth of killer international punk and hardcore!; Picked up a few copies of the debut 7" from Texas's BREAKOUT, newest single from Oakland RNR badasses BAD COYOTES, a few copies of the RASH demo, new 12" from Olympia's VEXX, latest EP from Boston PV ragers DRAIZE, and some new reissues from the always consistent Ugly Pop Records which come in the form of the THOR'S HAMMER LP and BENT WIND LP.  Also got a bunch of fanclub reissues ranging from US punk and HC staples to a bit more obscure KBD hits - it's all in the list below so check it out!

Finally, got a stack of restocks back in my hands, one of which being the incredible LP reissue from THE ABUSED! That one sold out very fast on the first round so it's good have it back on the shelves. Also picked up the latest press of the BREAKDOWN "Runnin Scared" 12" reissue, and a ton of other Painkiller releases from HOUNDS OF HATE, VIOLENT REACTION, SCAPEGOAT, VIOLENT FUTURE, PRISONER ABUSE and more! Restocked on the awesome LA MISMA 7" along with their demo tape and MURDERER tape, and repress of the first CRAZY SPIRIT 7", all courtesy Toxic State.  The full restock list is also below, so give it a read and see what you missed out on last time.

That's all for now, thanks for sticking through this update with me, and check out the new webstore!

NEW IN THE WEBSTORE FOR MARCH 2014:

PEACEBREAKERS "Everyday Battle" 7" (RNR DISGRACE)
Raging debut 7" from this Boston group - their demo was great and this release is even better. Pretty much everything you would want from a Boston Hardcore band circa 2014; tough as nails but still anthemic as can be. Obvious comparisons to "CHOKE-FECTA" aka NEGATIVE FX / LAST RIGHTS / SLAPSHOT, definitely weighing more on the uptempo fist-pumpers than a high speed hyper assault. Featuring members of Boston Strangler, Waste Management, and a bunch of other great bands, you can't go wrong with this EP. And of course, it's limited to 500.

WARTHOG "Exterminate Me" 7" (KATORGA WORKS)
NYC's Warthog follows up their highly acclaimed demo tape with their first of two EPs (the second is to be released on the great Iron Lung Records) culled from the same recording session. Exterminate Me finds the band developing their beefy hardcore punk in the vein of 80s USHC (a la Poison Idea) and 90s Clevocore by implementing newer elements, such as that of 90s Japanese hardcore. Comes with a 13.75" x 13.75" poster. Artwork by Alexander Heir.

SOA "First Demo 12/29/80" 7"
(DISCHORD)
Henry Garfield formed State of Alert (S.O.A) in October of 1980 with guitarist Michael Hampton, bassist Wendel Blow, and drummer Simon Jacobsen. The band released 13 songs through Dischord — three on the Flex Your Head compilation record and ten on the No Policy EP, which was Dischord's second-ever release — and performed a total of nine shows before calling it quits in July of 1981. First Demo 12/29/80 collects the eight songs that S.O.A recorded with Skip Groff during their first-ever recording session. Two of the tracks ("Disease" and "Stepping Stone Party") were released on Flex Your Head and "Gonna Have to Fight" was included on No Policy. The rest are unreleased versions. Seven months after this recording session, Garfield left Washington, DC and his last name behind, relocating to Los Angeles to become Henry Rollins, lead singer of Black Flag. Hampton, Blow, and Jacobsen would go on to perform in groups like The Faith, Embrace and Iron Cross. The record is pressed on red-colored vinyl.

OFFENDERS "WE MUST REBEL / ENDLESS STRUGGLE" 2xLP (SOUTHERN LORD)
The Offenders were formed in 1978 in Killeen, Texas relocated to Austin in 1980 and became known worldwide as one of the premiere hardcore bands from Texas. Alongside their peers: D.R.I., M.D.C. the Offenders completely ruled the 80s HC scene during the infamous Reagan-era. Southern Lord is honored to present a collection of all their recordings on vinyl. Gatefold jacket with the original covers faithfully replicated.

BL'AST "THE EXPRESSION OF POWER" 3xLP (SOUTHERN LORD)
Santa Cruz, CA hardcore legend: Bl’ast! recorded their debut several times before finally emerging from the studio with their cult classic masterpiece: “ The Power of Expression”. . For the first time ever an alternate version (the Track sessions) of this album is officially available.  Also included is a 28 page booklet with amazing Bl’ast! photos from the mid-80s. All tracks (re)mastered by Brad Boatright. ***Lp version contains a exclusive unreleased demo. TRIPLE LP SET!***

GIUDA "LET'S DO IT AGAIN" LP (TKO)
Hot on the heels of last year's TKO reissue of their debut "Racey Roller" LP, international underground rock sensations GIUDA ARE BACK with their new album, "Let's Do It Again!" "Let's Do It Again" is an exciting progression for GIUDA featuring more complicated arrangements, more ambitious songwriting and an even bigger sound, while still retaining all the pure fun and infectious Glam hooks of their debut album. The handclaps may have given way to more foot-stomps, but "Let's Do It Again" is still a raucous, wild party of an album, in true GIUDA fashion. Check out "Let's Do It Again" to find out why GIUDA are swiftly gaining the reputation as Europe's most exciting Rock n' Roll band!!

BREAKOUT "RAZOR WIRE" 7" (ON HIGH)
Excellent hardcore punk from Austin, TX featuring members of BOMBER and CREAMERS. listen to a few songs here: http://breakoutaus.bandcamp.com/

CORPSE, THE "S/T" 7" (DISTORT REALITY)
Ripping hardcore punk from Portland!

ATTACK SS / FRENZY - SPLIT 7" (DISTORT REALITY)
"Brand new split 7" from these two noise punk bands. Attack SS are more in the Confuse Contempt for Authority mode; in other words you don't the melodic, Swankys-inspired bass lines that a lot of bands go for; instead, this is all about simple, raging, noisy punk, and the energy level is off the charts... maybe it's kind of comparable to early Zyanose? As for Frenzy, they're from Portland I think and they have a faster, more jagged sound. It's kind of a mess in some ways, with all kinds of crazy tempo changes and some noisy guitar solos, but it's super energetic. Throw in some sick artwork and you have an all-around solid noise punk release." - sorrystaterecords.com

ECTOPLASM "S/T (2ND)" 7" (DISTORT REALITY)
Second EP from these raging hardcore punks from Gainesville along the lines of Crude SS, Varukers, Kaaos and UK82 bands. Some mid-tempo pounders and some awesome fast songs. Distorted everything.

CRAZY SPIRIT "S/T" 7" (TOXIC STATE)
"Another much-needed repress from Toxic State! In light of what they've become, it's almost kind of amazing that Crazy Spirit ever sounded like this. I've personally spent the most time with the demo, the LP, and the I'm Dead 7" and I kind of gave short shrift to this EP, but it's a total ripper and completely different from their other releases. This is definitely the clearest and most bottom-heavy recording the band ever got. Compared to some of their other stuff they almost sound straightforward here, but those menacing vocals and off-kilter riffs ensure that you know you're listening to a Crazy Spirit. This is really one of my favorite bands of the past decade, and you need everything they've released, so if you don't have this you know what to do... " - sorrystaterecords.com

BELLICOSE MINDS "THE BUZZ OR HOWL SESSIONS" 10" (A389)
Portland's THE BELLICOSE MINDS classic cassette-only debut completely remastered and available on vinyl for the first time ever.  Perfectly dark, cynical and catchy goth/darkwave infused postpunk.

VEXX "S/T" LP (GRAZER)
Hailing from Olympia, Washington, VEXX are a true anomaly. These 8 tracks combine unhinged, Penelope Houston-style vocals with the meth-driven guitar solos of the ZERO BOYS and highly syncopated rhythms to devastating impact.  Songs like “Falling Down” and “Spirit/Contraint” blaze past with their breakneck tempos, yet contain enough pop sensibility to yield repeated plays.  While VEXX sound more small-town Midwest than gloomy Northwest, they still pay occasional homage to the ominous sounds of the WIPERS on standout track “Ocean Shores” – showing they understand their geographical antecedents better than most. Elsewhere, “Stress” and “Roky, Take me Home” recall the thuggish menace of Hermosa Beach groups, with vocals that alternate between a grumble and a roar.

ADULT CRASH "UNFINISHED BUSINESS" 12" (STANDARDS)
On Unfinished Business, their debut 12” EP, Adult Crash plays a powerful brand of hardcore, with the dramatic, rhythmic build-ups of Bl’ast!, the concrete-thick guitar work of SS Decontrol, the blunt vocal delivery of early Agnostic Front, and some left-of-center thrash flourishes a’la Septic Death. Far more than just a Frankenstein monster of well-tread influences, Adult Crash has a seamless, naturally flowing sound that can only come from veterans who have truly internalized the craft of hardcore songwriting. Featuring a cadre of San Diego/Chula Vista HC veterans, including Tim Gonzalez of Amenity and House of Suffering, Adult Crash has the credentials and musicianship to convincingly deliver their unique sonic onslaught in spades. Mandatory listening for all true believers in the HC arts.

WACO FUCK "ELIMINATE CULTURE" 12" (STANDARDS)
Final 12” EP from North County San Diego’s ferocious HC stalwarts Waco Fuck. Distilling the Totalitar and Napalm Death obsessed ultracore of their earlier output into a more powerful, midpaced assault, Eliminate Culture weaves deftly through Scandinavian-derived thrashings, violent dirges, infectious, Rudimentary Peni style riffing, and the hard hitting SoCal traditions of Battalion of Saints and the like. If you have an ear for forward thinking, well played hardcore bound by neither cliché nor pretension, Eliminate Culture is for you.

SEE YOU IN HELL "JED" LP (SPHC)
Czech hardcore heroes See You in Hell return with their third LP in their 14 year career, and like all great bands, they just continue to get better! Jed LP is the best See You in Hell material yet as they continue to master the “Burning Spirits” Japanese hardcore style on their own terms, with their own subtle and unique twists. Bringing a distinctly Czech//eastern European sensibility to the Japanese hardcore style, they are a band that, like most great punk bands, at once sounds familiar yet instantly recognizable. This small-run American pressing was done in conjunction with their USA west coast tour with Lotus Fucker.

THOR'S HAMMER "IF YOU KNEW: ICELANDIC PUNK & BEAT '65-67" LP (UGLY POP)
Best known to garage enthusiasts for "My Life", their stellar contribution to the second Nuggets box, Thor's Hammer was also responsible for an incredibly scarce 1966 EP that is easily among the toughest records of the era. Ugly Pop now presents this long-overdue LP, compiling 14 mid '60s nuggets-- the above mentioned monsters included-- from these Icelandic garage legends, who seasoned their northern beat with some of the rawest, wildest fuzzpunk heard anywhere!  Fully authorized high quality pressing in printed inner sleeve, licensed from SENA (Iceland)

BENT WIND "SUSSEX" LP (UGLY POP)
The Holy Grail of Canadian rock, this raw, murky slab of heavy psych was released by local indie label Trend in autumn 1970 and immediately sank without a trace. Over the decades, however, obsessive fans and collectors of the era's unsung greats gradually came to recognize the obscure Toronto band's genius, the now impossible-to-find original LP eventually trading hands for $5000+ plus in the rare vinyl market. After years of bootlegs, compact discs and pricey European pressings, this mythical Canadian LP is finally available at home in its intended format for the first time in 44 years.  Fully authorized high quality pressing in deluxe jacket with printed inner sleeve and new liner notes, licensed direct from Marty Roth.

DRAIZE "S/T" 7" (BAD TEETH)
These Boston powerviolence pros have returned with new material at last! This 6 song slab will seriously put you right back in your fucking place. One of the finest modern hardcore bands blast through approximately 10 minutes of pure aggression with the sweetest punk edge. You thought you had seen the last of Draize...you were incorrect. A blistering follow-up to their impressive full-length from a few years back!  Record comes packaged in gorgeous hand-screened covers along with a cardstock poster insert.

BAD COYOTES "IT'S TIME FOR SEX POSITIONS WITH …" 7" (RESSURECTION)
What do Bad Coyotes sound like? Imagine a bunch of chainsaws playing a garage punk version of Sex Pistols songs and you will have a pretty good idea of what to expect. It's heavy, energetic, and way too British sounding to be from Oakland (but in a good way). The record starts with a couple of unrelentingly vigorous garage punk jammers, fueled by buzzing guitars, a pounding rhythm section, and sing-a-long vocals. Side B1 sounds like a long-lost track from the UK Misfits (No, there was never a UK Misfits), and the last track is an awesome cover of one of the greatest punk songs of all time. This record is would make a great gift for that garage punker that needs just a bit more pogo in their life.

LUNCH "JOHNNY PINEAPPLE" 7" (RESSURECTION)
Hot on the heels of "Quinn Touched The Sun", this 7" contains 4 of Quinn's most manic jems, newly remastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege Engineering. Lunch's infectious brand of upbeat post/garage punk takes listener's from fast-paced pop anthems to trudging, reverberated doggerel, and nowhere in between. It's like The Gun Club, Wire, UK Decay, and whatever garbage garage punk punk your into at the moment got smashed into the shape of a 7". The is guaranteed to stay or your turntable for a while (or at least until you throw it out the window).

INTEGRITY "BLACK HEKSEN RISE" 7" (A389)
Originally released in Europe on various formats over the past few years, we're thrilled to present INTEGRITY's majestic masterpiece 'Black Heksen Rise', in a permanent / easy to obtain edition.  Contains a cover of 'No Power' by Zouo which was previously not included in any prior editions.

HAYMAKER "LET THEM ROT" 7" (A389)
Legendary Canadian hardcore terrors HAYMAKER return with their first new recordings in almost ten years.  Raw furious and REAL hardcore with no punches pulled.  Members of Left For Dead/Pick Your Side/Chokehold.  Limited edition pressing of 1000 copies.

ACOUSMA "S/T" 7" (HIGH FASHION INDUSTRIES)
After a strong demo, here's the debut 7" from this Canadian band. Gnarly, noisy, fast hardcore with vocals that are both snotty and screamy. On this recording at least, they remind me quite a bit of Chicago's Raw Nerve. Like RN, they have this subtle but effective way of sounding simultaneously like a bunch of different genres, but like no one but themselves at the same time. Also like RN, this stuff is hard, heavy, but also mega-catchy and memorable in just about every way. Throw in some extremely eye-catching packaging and you have a record that people are bound to be talking about very soon.

RASH - DEMO TAPE (HIGH FASHION INDUSTRIES)
Nothing is good, nothing is beautiful. RASH is a new band from Chicago consisting of ex members of other bands you probably don’t care about. Five songs of noisy, ugly hardcore or punk. It’s whatever you want it to be and it doesn’t disappoint.

GLUEBAG "Confused" LP (FRAMEWORK)
Hailing from the deep and storied woods of Western Massachusetts, Gluebag deliver an exceptional collection of luring, blown out sounds with their ‘Confused' LP. Featuring members of SQRM, World Domination, and Crystalline Roses, this 3 piece blends the songwriting of late-60s rock with the urgency of American hardcore punk to create a sound that is far from commonplace in the current underground scene. Originally recorded in 2008 and distributed on a small number of cassette tapes by the band, we're thrilled to celebrate Gluebag's recent return from dormancy with the release of 'Confused' in it's original intended form on vinyl. Fans of Neil Young, Dead Moon, and true punk will rejoice at the existence of Gluebag, and at the absorbing songs found within ‘Confused’. All copies on black vinyl with download code.

RHYTHM OF CRUELTY "In Time" 7" (SELF RELEASED)
New Post Punk / Goth from Edmonton Canada … "The latest EP from Edmonton band, Rhythm of Cruelty, exudes a strong blend of Lo-Fi sound and gothic appeal. It’s glum from start to finish yet still exciting. Not all bands can get the whole “dark atmosphere” thing down without coming off pretentious or derivative.  There is a real strong image of British punk bands that immediately come mind. Like Joy Division, the feel is a dark one twined with a string of blissful melody throughout. Yet, it posses a modern feel, a definite product of what is possible electronically in music in this age."

HARPER SS "S/T" 7" (CRUDE CITY)
Edmonton one man punk assault taking cues from UK82 punk and american hardcore. Stripped down and raw, this is the first release from this No Problem punk and Crude City records.

BEN DISASTER "Close My Eyes" 7" (CRUDE CITY)
New single from this Canadian punk's solo project. Maybe it's just because this is a Canadian punk dude's solo project, but I'm getting a real Young Governor / Marvelous Darlings vibe off of this. It's pretty much classic power pop in the kind of Nick Lowe / Elvis Costello / Stiff Records tradition, without the energy of, say, the Exploding Hearts, but with a lot of big hooks. Solid all around

UNKNOWN TO GOD "UNNAMED TERRORIST GROUP" 7" (HARDCORE VICTIM)
New on Hardcore Victim with distribution by Havoc, Uknown to God play aw blazing hardcore with rasping desperate vocals. There is a heavy influence of Japanese hardcore here, and many people may remember this band from their split with Deathcage.

ROCK BOTTOM AND THE SPYS "Rich Girl" 7" (FANCLUB)
Amazingly great 3 song Synth Punk EP from 1981 by this California band. The originals are notoriously rare, and the 2002 reissue from breakmyface.com is even really tough to find these days. This is a second pressing of the 2002 reissue on breakmyface.com. The same pressing plates were used for this release. These were actually pressed around 2008 but sat in storage until mid 2013. Although no record label is listed, this is an authorized reissue, but it is not done by breakmyface.com.  The packaging is different than on the 2002 or original releases. All copies of this pressing include a shrunk down color photocopy of the limited reissue sleeve pasted to a white cardstock, glue pocket sleeve. It also comes with a xeroxed lyric sheet. Same matrix numbers as the reissue obviously, but this pressing has rubber stamped labels. 500 copies pressed, all hand numbered on the back of the sleeve.

PEER PRESSURE "1979/1980" 7" (FANCLUB)
Unearthed 1979 recordings from this Connecticut band, and like their other 7”, this is a classic piece of KBD punk.  Three more killer tunes from the 1979/1980 era by the same great Connecticut based killed by death band who gave us the famous "sound of the 80's" 7". Cool packaging with two inserts.

WRETCHED / INDIGESTI - Split 7" (FANCLUB)
Fantastic repro 7" of this super rare raging hardcore split single from 1982 from wretched and indigesti. it comes with stamped sleeves, red labels and all three inserts. an original would set you back nearly one thousand dollars. wretched debuted on their 1982 split ep with indigesti. the music the band created was furious and raw, with trashed guitars, shrieked vocals, and barely-holding-on drums. although they originally sang in english, they soon switched to their native italian, finding it better suited to expressing their radical political message. the band took strong anti-war and pro-anarchist stands through their lyrics and imagery.

HITLER SS / TAMPAX - Split 7" (FANCLUB)
Re issue of this Italian cult classic. One of those rare 1979 records that bridges the gap between 77 punk and early 80's hardcore. You know these songs from Killed By Death comps now get a great re pro of the original single without paying horror prices.

THE FREEZE "Rabid Reaction" LP (SCHIZOPHRENIC)
THE FREEZE Rabid Reaction is a crucial early 80s US HC LP from this classic Boston band. This reissue comes with a trippy colour poster!

SACRILEGE "DEMOS 1985" LP (RADIO RAHEEM)
1985 was a transitional time for the hardcore scene in NYC — the original class of '82 bands were either in limbo, had disbanded or were heading into a more crossover metal direction and the Revelation/straight edge scene and second wave of NYHC bands were a year away from fully exploding. Along comes Sacrilege, formed in late '84, and their aim to couple Discharge-inspired sonic fury with a peace punk aesthetic. Bassist Adam Mucci's previous tenure in Agnostic Front gave them a safe pass from skinheads, and along with guitarist Victor Venom, previously in Reagan Youth, they recruited two Virginia Beach transplants and Sacrilege was born. Their confrontational style of spiky hair, Crass stencils on jackets and military fatigues give voice to a totally separate group that longed for a band of their own. They played less than a dozen shows and imploded by late 1985. One can only guess how they would have fared as their sound and style laid the foundation for the parallel Squat Or Rot scene that sprung up during the late 1980's.  Victor would take several Sacrilege songs into his next project, Nausea, the most notable being "Fallout", which became the signature Nausea tune as heard on the Revelation Records' The Way It Is compilation LP. The nine short, sharp cuts from the Don Fury sessions and the six howling, primitive metal workouts from Bolt Studios, both recorded in 1985, bear witness to an overlooked band that provides a missing link to the development of hardcore punk in the rat cage of a big city we know as New York.  Includes 12x24 poster and lyric sheet

CHAOTIC DISCHORD "FUCK RELIGION, FUCK POLITICS, FUCK THE LOT OF YOU" LP (RADIATION)
Chaotic Dischord was formed by roadies of Vice Squad who wanted to take on the sound of bands like Disorder and Chaos UK but ended up creating this record which stands next to those bands in terms of quality and urgency.  "Fuck Religion …" is their debut LP which came out on Riot City Records in 1983.

NUCLEAR AGE - DEMO TAPE
New hardcore band from DC/MD area. http://nuclearage.bandcamp.com/

BLACK FLAG "THE UNHEARD 1983 DEMOS" 7" (FANCLUB()
The three best tracks from the legendary 1983 demo session, the only recording of the band as a 5-piece and catching them at the absolute peak of their powers. Killer.

BLACK FLAG "LICORICE PIZZA AND MORE" 7" (FANCLUB)
There's a pretty cool story behind this 7".  I guess back in Late '81 (early '82?) in order to get ready for the release of "Damaged", Black Flag had about a hundred or so promo 7"s printed with "Thirsty And Miserable" on the A side and "Life Of Pain" on the B side.  Both of the songs were different (out-take) versions of the songs which would appear on the "Damaged" LP. So they took these promos (with no covers) down to Licorice Pizza and asked the people that worked there to hand them out to people who they thought would be interested.  Well, I guess the assholes that worked there didn't think anyone would be interested, so they threw the fucking things away!!  So all but a few copies were destroyed, but lucky for you, and for me, a few years ago, someone came across a copy and decided it would be a good idea for this to be released out to the public.  This bootleg 7" was born out of that idea.  It has the demo versions of both songs that were originally released on the promo 7", and also an old demo recording of a demo version of Spray Paint, with Dez on vocals!!  This thing is pretty amazing and a record that will most likely want to be heard by all Black Flag fans.  Enjoy!!

GERMS, THE "LEXICON DEVIL" 7" (FANCLUB)
"Oh my! What is there to tell you about The Germs that you don’t already know? The intro to No God is taken from one thing that Darby, Pat and I had/have in common: we all love/d Yes. It’s from “Roundabout” the first song on “Fragile”. A fantastic record.  The special guitar sound was acquired through a direct line in to the soundboard since Pat had forgotten to bring with him an amplifier. Some people told me that the new version of Germs without Darby shall be pretty great so it may be worth catching them live if they come around."

MISFITS "COUGH/COOL" 7" (FANCLUB)
"Cough/Cool" is the first single released by the horror punk band the Misfits. It was released in August 1977 on singer Glenn Danzig's label Blank Records.

NIRVANA "AND THE REST - BBC SESSIONS" 7" (FANCLUB)
Unofficial release as a supplement to a 12" 12 track named "Almost Everything - The BBC Sessions;" features three tracks with awesome packaging -  silkscreened on a thick chipboard pocket sleeve!   Tracks: Son Of A Gun, Something In The Way, Polly (New Wave Version)"

NIRVANA "TOTAL FUCKING GODHEAD" 7" (FANCLUB)
Three track fanclub release from the early 90's.  This is the only place to get this version of Lithium, every other boot, vinyl or CD, is sourced from this release.  This is a very early, very important bootleg release that appeared in June 1991, Nirvana even referred to it from the stage during the 8/15/91 & 8/30/92 shows. These are believed to be taken NEVERMIND demos.

NIRVANA "SMELLS LIKE NIRVANA" 7" (FANCLUB)
Four live tracks from London, Nov 1991. Polly (New Wave) / Come on Over (Aneurysm) / Been a Son / Something in the Way

VILETONES "1977 DEMOS" 7" (DISTORTIONS)
Previously unreleased tunes from the legendary Canadian punk band. Contains 'Auschwitz Jerk', 'Wet Dream Girl' and 'Heinrich Himmler'. Comes with picture sleeve and insert. Limited edition of 600 copies on black vinyl.

BARREN GIRLS "HELL HYMNS" 7" (MERGE)
Formed in December of 2011, BARREN GIRLS hail from the tight-knit Raleigh, NC, punk scene. Hell Hymns is a collection of four succinct songs that tackle paranoia, heartbreak and other personal issues through the lens of gritty, rowdy garage rock. CARLA WOLFF (vocals, guitar) wanted to start an all-girl punk group, so she connected with former bandmate ASH VAN EIJK (drums) and friend JENNY WILLIAMS (keyboards), who had never taken up an instrument before. They played together as a trio for three months until FRAN ARAYA joined on bass to complete the line-up. A scorching performance at the Hopscotch Festival in September brought them to the attention of Merge, and with a 4-track and their friend WILLAIM G. EVANS of Aleph Audio, the girls recorded this four-song EP in their cotton mill practice space. “She-Devil” is the longest song they play at almost three minutes, while “Alter Ego,” “Deal With the Devil” and “How Could You” represent the faster raw punk energy people have come to expect from their live performances.

JERK STORE #13 - ZINE
Latest issue of this top-notch Australian zine. Features writings about 1981, a Daylight Robbery tour diary, a bunch of spot-on, incredibly well-written record reviews and a lot of other content for the discerning punk. I love that Alex has really diverse yet demanding tastes, and I think it's safe to say that if you're into what Sorry State does (particularly on the label end of things) this should be one of your must-read zines.

BUSINESS, THE "SATURDAY'S HEROES" LP (DAILY)
One of the finest street-punk albums ever, Business' second album 'Saturday's Heroes' was originally released in 1985 on the Harry May record Company and still sounds as fresh and genuine as the day it was released. Pure anthemic OI! from the glory days of UK working class skinhead culture. This new and long awaited vinyl re-edition also comes with a slightly improved artwork and a printed inner with unseen pictures from the same session as the front cover's one, plus all the lyrics to singalong to. OI!

SECTION 5 "FOR THE LOVE OF OI" LP (DAILY)
Limited to 500 copies. Reissue of the second studio album by magnificent UK punk –oi! band Section 5. First published by Link Records in 1987.  Section 5, alongside other bands as The Crack, Vicious Rumours, Condemned 84 or the long standing The Business, were carrying the banner of the true street punk music and spirit during the second half of the ‘80s after the demise of the first wave of UK oi! bands.  Features 12 brilliant old-school punk-oi! cuts full of melody as well as rawness. Includes classics such as “Every Saturday”, “For The Love Of Oi!”, “Section 5” or “A Love So Fine” alongside punkish cover versions of Prince Buster´s “Big 5” and the Troggs “Wild Thing.”

DAMNED, THE "AT THE BBC" LP (FANCLUB)
The Damned- At The BBC LP. Seriously if you are into the Damned and haven't heard these BBC sessions you are missing out!  This is a collection of BBC recordings by the always amazing Damned. This LP focuses mostly on songs from Machine Gun Etiquette and the Black Album era with a couple from Phantasmogoria as well. Featuring excellent alternate versions of some of their best loved songs including: Plan 9, Channel 7, Love Song, Liar, Noise Noise Noise, Smash It Up, History Of The World, I Just Can't Be Happy Today, Hit Or Miss, Drinking About My Baby, Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde, There Will Come A Day and The Shadow Of Love.

GERMS, THE "LION'S SHARE" LP (FANCLUB)
The infamous GERMS bootleg LP, rumored having been released by some ex-member of the group. Whether or not this is true (please share your information in the comments section), what’s most remarkable about this LP is that it was not only the first time for the complete “Cruisin’”-session to appear on vinyl; it also has a much better sounding version of the band’s final gig on the flip, compared to the rather crappy sounding one on the Germs Anthology CD.  All five studio tracks captured on “Lion’s Share” are exceptional, but most exceptional is “Not all right”, which is disturbing, kaputt and grandiose.

KIDS, THE "NAUGHTY KIDS" LP (FANCLUB)
Fanclub pressing of the second LP from Belgium's THE KIDS. Comes shrink wrapped on colored vinyl.
